Nets Get:
Brandon Clarke

They get a good PF just by participating in this trade

Demin/Thomas/MPJ/Clarke/Claxton

Celtics Get:
John Konchar
Jay Huff

Celtics get cheaper role players who can fill the gaps short term

PP/White/Brown/Huff/Queta

Likely a value win for Memphis but doesn’t make directional or need sense. With Ty Jerome we don’t need a guy like Simons, and we actually are thin at center right now with Edey on the shelf and need Clarke and Huff to be in our rotation. Memphis doesn’t have the need to get off money anymore either. So unless a 3rd team is brought in that wants Simons and has a 4/5 that Memphis would rather have then likely a pass.

Nets are better off selling whatever space they have left than taking on a ok contract like Clarke for free.
