Where to find Jazz in Siakramento? Or did that miss the Markk?

Add filler as needed, but I think these frameworks work?

IND trades: Pascal Siakam
in: John Collins, Keegan Murray, 2031 MIN 1st
Indiana clears their books and does a soft tank/reset since they have their 2026 1st outright. Siakam will be 32 when Haliburton comes back, so he may not be as effective as he was in their run. To me, it makes sense to get a player who still hasn't had a featured role (Murray) and see if he can be something. Collins may also work at the 5 for them.

SAC trades: Keegan Murray, DeMar DeRozan, Devin Carter, 2031 MIN 1st
in: Pascal Siakam
Sacramento can honestly pass this off as an upgrade from Fox, and I do love the Siakam/Sabonis pairing with LaVine playing off of them. I don't think it is a contender, but there would be enough two-way team to be a fun team that plays the right way and can make the playoffs.

UTA trades: John Collins
in: DeMar DeRozan (waived), Devin Carter
Utah apparently still likes Devin Carter and there were rumors they might trade 21 for him. I am not in love with this deal, but given our limited options I don't mind getting a look at another young player. He would also be our only guard who knows what defense is.

Alternative:
SAC trades: Keegan Murray, DeMar DeRozan (waived), Devin Carter, 2031 MIN 1st
UTA trades: Lauri Markkanen
The alternative is just a direct trade. The defense is worse than it would be with Siakam, but the offense is better. Again, a bit of a treadmill to nowhere, but the team could be fun to watch. Utah gives a young player a featured role and sees if he can be something + adds a recently drafted player they like and a future pick. It isn't a home-run, I would hope and pray for a 2026 1st for Lauri, but I would be *okay* with this deal.

Cool idea here.

What about sending Kessler to Indiana?

Siakam for Murray/Demar/Kessler/2031 1st

Indiana can still compete this year but break Siakam into multiple parts.

Kessler being a RFA rather than Turner as a UFA, and a year later, allows them to likely retain Kessler (He probably isn't going to get open market offers as a RFA over 25 Million/AAV.

Could even send Murray to Utah if they want him to help with the value.

If Murray is coming to Utah I'm fine sending out Kessler (other Jazz fans will probably disagree, but I really think there is another level to Murray's game that can't be shown with low usage).

I'm a Murray fan and I still have very high hopes for him. I'd probably still say no, but that would at least tempt me.

I also think that Keegan has another level especially on the offensive end. That's why I want to be able to shift him down to sf. I don't want to cash in Keegan Murray unless it is a.sure thing that the kings are at least looking like they are competing for a championship not just a playoff spot. If the trade doesn't get us to that level I don't think I would make the trade. Ideally the kings are adding a pf next to Keegan Murray.

Ideally it would be Zach lavine who gets traded to get the kings a decent lower forward.

The kings best defensive and overall lineup last season was sabonis, Murray, DeRozan, Ellis, and monk. They averaged a 102 defensive rating and were a plus 17 on the court, which is one of the best in the league. That's fantastic.i would just rather build on that if trading Keegan doesn't instantly make us real challengers.

Framework works but Utah need to give up some value here for Carter . Probably a late first or at least multiple second spread between the other 2 teams.

It's gonna take more than that to get Siakam from Indiana.

Collins, Murray, Kessler 2 #1 picks for Siakam. Indiana is not running a bargain basement fire sale!

I don’t think there’s an available trade that can vault the kings into the top 3-4 teams in the west. West homecourt teams are that much stronger.

Thats my whole point, I would rather keep Keegan and try to continue to bring him along and see where we are in a year or two, rather than moving him and knowing that we can make the playoffs but aren't serious contenders.

Should be moving off sabonis etc then and turn over the team to Keegan . Let him lead you guys to wherever that brings

Note - assuming you have control of your own picks.

No thanks. Getting rid of all assets for Pascal, only to probably be bounced in the 1st or 2nd round for a few years.
