NOP - Utah

NOp trade: Zion, filler
Utah trade: Lauri

Why for NOP: looking at their roster, they acquired/commited to several ball dominant players this offseason in Poole, Fears, Queens. Markkanen would complement them much better, not to mention be more likely to stay on court and avoid them giving up a top 5 pick to atlanta
Why for Utah: go for a higher ceiling play and if zion misses time they have a legitimate excuse to tank some more

which side owes pick(s)? (I think its kinda balanced)

I like it...
I don't think any side owes picks TBH, Jazz go for the upside, NOP go for the fit.

Kind of makes sense for both. Though the immaturity of Zion and Ace together is worrisome

I would not consider this at all. Taking out the possible sexual assault issues, Zion is always injured and clearly immature. He doesn't play defense, he doesn't stay in shape, he is headed out of the league early. I could see something around Murray and picks, but that is about it. Otherwise I would just rather keep Lauri.

He plays defense when hes healthy. He played defense well last season for someone who is "bad at defense." Don't bring up any advanced stats, this is from my eye test.

His advanced metrics are actually positive on defense. I just haven't been impressed when I have seen him play, but I am probably wrong. Regardless, I still am not interested.
