Was everyone really so scared of paying Powell that this is the best the Clips could do? Needing to throw in a 2nd to grease the wheels was beyond my expectation. Collins will be kind of fun there though.

did not have Collins worth more than Powell, but we are seeing this cycle that small offensive guards are holding no value

Can the salary match for this trade? Collins is 26M, Powell is 20M, Kyle + Love is around 14M?

So Utah gets a bit of positive value for Collins, Miami with a win now move, Collins might benefit from the change, but I am not sure I fully get it for the Clippers….

surprised Miami didn't send extra value to the Clippers. Might be a good trade for the Clippers I don't know but didn't like the value at all.

I had Heat as near lock Beal destination, after this, Clippers moved to the top, Heat dropped.

Called the powell for collins part before but would've expected clippers to get some excess value. Guess they are higher on collins than i am

These shooting guards who can't defend are really getting phased out here. The Heat didn't have to send out anything good to get Norman Powell and it was the Clippers that had to pay compensation, even if it's very minor to swap out Powell for Collins, who doesn't hold any real value by himself. This is yet another clear massage to non all star guards who can't defend at high level that you don't hold real value in the NBA anymore, and are easily replaceable.

I also assume this take the Heat out of the running for Bradley Beal and put the Clippers in the driver seat to get him.

I think this signals Beal to Clippers. Got rid of Powell so there's less positional overlap and replaced him with a similar player that fills a position of need.
