Dallas-OKC-BRK

I REALLY think OKC should go for 75 wins next year. They bring back their whole core, and they have one year until the roster becomes VERY expensive
Dallas should plan for the future, while still being good
BRK adds a young big for cap space and a 2nd
Dallas sends PJ Washington to OKC
Dallas gets KWill, the Philly 2026 1st from OKC (top 4 protected) and a 2nd from BRK (they have a ton of them)
OKC sends Dieng to BRK and KWill/the Philly 2026 1st to Dallas
OKC gets Washington
BRK sends a 2nd to Dallas
BRK gets Dieng
BRK gets a free look at Dieng for a year. They need size
Dallas saves $, gets a serviceable/expiring bench forward in KWill and add a solid pick for next summer
OKC goes for it. Of course, they're already the favorites next year but they just played 2 game sevens. Why not go all in next year and have this lineup
SGA/Wallace/Topic
Dort/Caruso/Joe
JWill/Wiggins/AJ Mitchell
Chet/PJ Washington/?
IHart/JWill/Sorber
that team could literally be unstoppable, and set records. Why not go for it next year, then re-evaluate in the summer of 2026

I think Dallas would rather have Washington this year over a late pick next year. OKC will have to give more to nab PJ

Philly pick is more likely to be early than late, but more likely mid 1st imo

With Paul and Joel's current and recurring injuries, i dont see OKC giving up that pick.

OKC needs the mid first and associated rookie contract more than the likely one year of PJ.

Brooklyn will not give a 2nd and pure capspace for a rental of Dieng
Dallas is preparing to extend Washington, once he's eligible later this month
Okc shouldn't tinker

Same. It’s time of the better FRPs they have especially now that PG just had knee surgery.

Sure, makes sense but I think OKC should go all in on repeating, and see what happens next summer
Chet is always an injury risk-PJ is a great fill in starter, and can play with Chet when IHart sits in the playoffs
They won the title, but had two game 7’s-who knows what would have happened if Hali didn’t go down?
I think they should shore up their team for a repeat run. I honestly think they would win 75 games with
SGA/Wallace/Topic
Dort/Caruso/Joe
JWill/Wiggins
Chet/PJ
IHart/JWill/Sorber
As for BRK, this seems like an easy yes. Who do they have right now to play the 4? Dieng has talent-why not take a free look (they have a ton of 2nds, it could be a bad one)

Kind of feel like winning the title ruined this idea in general.
But I still think Presti would trade for PJ, just not that Philly first. That Philly pick has way too much upside for PJ. A late first and a couple seconds? Sure.
I really don’t understand Dallas keeping all four of their bigs.. but if PJ extends, I wouldn’t want to trade him for a late first.

I'm not sure adding PJ makes them any/much better. Whose minutes is he going to take that's a notable worse player? He's an expiring deal and will want to get paid. With three max deals coming up I think they should prioritize keeping rookie deals on the books or else their depth is going to tank as the cap reality hits. If they're gonna make a trade it should be for a major star like Giannis not more depth pieces that cost real money.

It’s definitely a short term move for OKC, but PJ would be their 3rd big, behind IHart/Chet. He’d get plenty of minutes, and Chet will miss games so you get a quality starter
Of course, you probably lose him next summer, but I think OKC should go all in on a repeat title
