Kings - Miami - Clipper (re-do)

Kings out: Monk, Derozan, 2nd
Kings in: Rozier, DJJ, Kobe Brown

Why for Sac? Move on from some of the roster clutter. DJJ is a nice forward who provides defense next to Sabonis/Keegan. Rozier traded or bought out by the deadline.
Schroder - Keon - LaVine - Keegan - Sabonis
Carter - Nique - DJJ - Isaac Jones - Maxime

Miami out: Rozier
Miami in: DeRozan

Why for Miami? Get Demar for nothing, solid rotation with defense and plenty of scoring.. Get some more room under the tax. Still stay on the 2 year plan for FA 2027
Herro - Powell - Wiggins - Ware - Bam
Davion - DeRozan - JJJ - Highsmith - Simone - Jovic

Clippers out: DJJ, Kobe
Clippers in: Monk, 2nd

Why for LAC? After moving Powell they could use another guy who can get hot and create offense for the team. Monk would be a perfect addition on the bench. Kings add in a 2nd here to make up for the Clippers taking on that extra salary.

Harden - Dunn - Kawhi - Collins - Zubac
Monk - Bogdan - Batum - Lopez

This is bad value for the kings. We are just dumping talent in this deal.

If we can't get some value for our players then we should just hold onto them. This doesn't feel like 1 step back to take a few steps forward. This feels like just 2 steps back with nothing gained

Couldn't disagree more. The 2026 NBA draft is supposed to be one of the strongest in recent memory. Then you look at the Kings roster and see young(er) talent buried on the depth chart. Guys like Carter, Nique, Keon, who should all be playing 25+mpg this upcoming year to see what we have. Instead they will be playing behind Schorder, Monk, DeRozan, LaVine who is an uninspiring group of 1 way players that are clearly not good enough to be a good teams 2-4.

Right now this team is sitting in the 10-14 spot, hoping they can cling to a play-in game where they can get embarrassed again but at least vivek earns a few more bucks. If we were to land a top 5 pick next year because of this, while also developing good young pieces, that would be a huge win. It should be about building a team, not hanging onto 2022-23 which this team resembles no part of.

Curious why CP3 hasn't signed there yet. Wonder if Lebron to Dallas has more legs, and CP3 is waiting to see if that makes sense. Also heard he was considering Milwaukee as he wanted a starting job next year.

Beal we will see. I know it was being reported the buyout was coming. Still think its a bad idea for Phoenix who should at a minimum wait one more year.

It has already been made clear to everyone that we are not rebuilding, so tossing away our talent without getting something decent back isn't the direction that we are heading right now. And if we were going to downgrade talent so that we can give our youth more playing time then we need to be getting some good young talent back, instead we are just wasting assets in this trade.
