Wait another month so Okoro can be aggregated..
Chicago trade: Smith, Okoro
Chicago receive: Kuminga (S&T 3/75)
GSW trade: Kuminga (S&T)
GSS receive: Smith
Utah trade: fake second
Utah receive: Okoro
Why for Chicago: gamble on kuminga's upside
Why for GSW: add a stopgap C
Why for Utah: add a veteran 3/d wing for free (think babyjax wanted him before)
Add 2nd(s) as needed
Chicago - GSW - Utah

I don't mind this for Utah at all. I don't think Chicago traded for Okoro to use as filler, but if they did, I am totally fine with the flier on someone who can play defense.

And if they think Okoro is worth giving up for Kuminga, why are the Warriors settling for a backup center/power forward instead of him?

TBF I think Smith is the best player of this group - or at least the most useful - and he is affordable.

IMO Smith is better than Okoro. Also a better fit for the Warriors as they're incredibly thin at PF/C right now. Ideally the 1st year salary is high enough that GS can take back Smith without tripping the hard cap at the 1st apron (hard cap at the 2nd apron gives them room to work with).
Okoro is basically Moody (slightly bigger and slightly less skilled but generally similar).

At 75/3 it should be high enough. As long as its over 20M it should be fine.
I think Smith can start for warriors but okoro would be a bench player

No thanks, rather keep Okoro who fits than take Kuminga who does not.

Re: Chicago - GSW - Utah
If any team wants to take a gamble on Kuminga it might as well be GSW. Why are 2 average players, a backup 4/5 and a backup 3andD SF that could be found on the waiver wire for far less worth getting back in return?
If the Bulls are willing to trade Okoro so quickly they could have just kept Lonzo with his 2nd year not guaranteed and played Smith more at the 4.

Yeah I’d 100% rather have Smith than Okoro from the Warriors’ POV
