Miami get Kuzma, SRP
Bucks get Wiggins
Wiggins is the better player and much better fit for Bucks. Kuzma costs $16m less than Wiggins over the next 2 seasons.

Difference is probably a 1st no? Maybe with some protections.

I would like to think nothing Milwaukee would realistically add would get Miami to take Kuzma. I don't see any reason Miami would downgrade like that when there clearly teams who can and would offer expiring contracts which would clearly be preferable...

Wiggins has proven that he's a good starter when he's really engaged. Getting him engaged is the issue. If any organization can do that, it's Spoelstra and the Heat. Kuzma's issue isn't his attitude, it's that he's just not very good.
Both teams want to win. This holds no appeal for the Heat.

The Heat have a cheaper Kyle Kuzma in Nikola Jovic. What would the point of this trade be for their side?

Nobody is taking on Kyle Kumza without assets attach to him. Wiggins has much higher floor and ceiling than Kumza and the amount of money they would be saving isn't worth the downgrade. A 1st round pick is going a requirement here just for the Heat to listen.

It seems slanted to Milwaukee... but on the other hand, Wiggins could come out and have another bad year and suddenly it's not so slanted.

The difference, of course, is that Wiggins MAY have a bad year. Kuzma, at his best, is Wiggins on an off year. Defense counts...

I'd rather Wiggins too, but Wiggins was playing worse than him not long ago.

I would never say that, but to each their own I guess. Defense counts.

Wiggins looked borderline useless on both ends in 2024. There's a reason the Warriors were trying so badly to move him. I'd bet on him playing well again, probably, but the idea he could be worse than Kuzma next season isn't totally fanciful. Guys like him can fall off a cliff fast.

Wiggins is much more valuable, if that's the price.. the LAKERS should send Hachimura + filler and move forward.. IMO Wiggins is an above average starter + valuable archetype

Kuzma needs to show something before being traded for a 19ppg player with decent defense

If a deal like this went down, I’d suspect AJ Green would be the piece needed to bridge the gap. That said, I don’t think our organization has any intent to move Green. If the Bucks traded the 31 1st for multiple firsts, I could see using one of those 1st plus Kuz salary to do a deal like this. Teams obviously value saving millions to have more roster flexibility given what we saw this off-season but I agree the difference isn’t a second round pick in the distant future.

If that were Miami's motivation they would have dealt him to the Lakers for Rui and Gabe at the beginning of the offseason. It's not about saving for us as we could have saved a lot more.

I dont think this is close. WIggins is a starter on almost any team in the association, he's a winner. Kuzma sucks all kinds of suck and has an attitude to match

People are really expecting wiggins to lose another family member? Or do they really not know that his dad passed away? Because that's the biggest reason he faded after 2022. Outside of that span of 1.5 seasons, hes been pretty consistent.

Well, those years and the ones in Minnesota at the beginning of his career.

I don't think that's fair, Kuzma might be a low IQ guy on the court and cringe off of it but by all accounts I know he seems like a good guy in the locker room
