I don't see this as an upgrade at all. Moussa is a fantastic rebounder, and one of the more versatile defenders at his position. I'll take my chances with him figuring out how to be better than Bismack Biyombo on offense

As far as I'm concerned, Diabate is our 2024 rookie to develop. Far more interesting of a prospect than the guy we drafted 6th anyway

I'd do it to duck the luxury tax, but I doubt the Hornets would do it.

Charlotte needs to add size not swap size. We have a plethora of guards to offer though.

Cant see the Hornets trading a 2024 rookie that shows upside for a player with similar stats but much older and with little upside.

I'm having a hard time seeing the point of subtracting one of our centers in order to add a center when we need a center. There is no net gain of a center in this deal. I've seen other deals for Diabaté like this. They don't work for Charlotte.
