Washington trades SF Corey Kispert and SF Dillon Jones
Washington receives C/PF Jalen Smith and SF Dalton Knecht

Chicago sends C/PF Jalen Smith
Chicago receives SF Corey Kispert

LA Lakers send SF Dalton Knecht
LA Lakers receive SF Dillon Jones

For Washington
Smith has a cheaper deal and comes off the books one year sooner than Kispert. The Wizards solve their SF glut and gain a serviceable, young PF/C to play alongside Sarr. Knecht fits the Wizards' timeline and a trade could restore his lost confidence. Smith and Knecht would balance the Wizards.

For Chicago
Smith was a disappointment after the Bulls signed his long-term deal. The Bulls would like to move Jalen and they don't want to extend Kevin Heurter at his salary. Corey Kispert has a friendly contract moving forward. Former Wizards tend to produce in a big way.

For the Lakers
The Lakers should jump to move Knecht, who they've ruined for now. Dillon Jones was frozen out in OKC. He defends, rebounds, and scores. Dillon would become another very solid former Wizard like Rui Hachimura. Washington has too many SFs. Dillon Jones is a stud.

Thoughts?

Does Jones play good Defense? I don't know him. If not then I'm not doing that.

If he got frozen out in OKC why wouldn't the same happen for him in LA?

Dalton struggled in Summer League. SUMMER LEAGUE. Can we just relax a moment on his career

Dillon got donated to the Wizards with a second round pick. He does not have much value

Not that I agree with the trade but he wouldn't get frozen out because LA is not a deep team unlike OKC.

Didn’t struggle in his rookie summer league

Not interested for the Bulls. Even thought Donovan doesn't seem to like JSmith, there's talent there. We need size

U sure? I mean, JJ played 5 players in a half, so guess question is if he is good enough to get on the floor or not, not how much depth lakers have

It's really bad for the Bulls. Smith has utility and expires, and Corey Kispert is just starting a long-term deal where he is unquestionably overpaid.

The Bulls should be moving Vucevic so they can't play Zach Collins 48 minutes, they need Smith. They have no actual need for Kispert if you call him a 2 or 3. White, Huerter, Dosunmu at the SG
Okoro, Williams, Phillips even Essengue at the SF

where's the sense in adding Kispert while thinning the C position?

I mean sure if Redick wants to be an idiot and play only 5 players he won't get on the court.
