OKC - LAC

OKC trade: Joe, Dieng
OKC receive: Bogdanovic, 2026 MEM 2nd

LAC trade: Bogdanovic, Brown, 2026 MEM 2nd, cash
LAC receive: Joe, Dieng

3rd team eats/dumps brown for cash

Why for OKC: add someone who can create a little/offer more scoring punch off the bench. free up $ for 26-27 as well as a roster spot
Why for LAC: add a better off ball/knockdown shooter around their ballhandlers

add 2nd(s) as needed

Doesn’t seem OKC style Bogdanovic is not a plus defender not sure he would play there.

hes not cheaper in 26-27 when they would be in the tax. They will most likely dump him this or next year. Not sure how he is home grown when his first 2 years were with philly

This is a really good idea, I like it overall.
OKC has to pick their guys going forward, and Joe/Dieng may not be in the core. Seems like Lu Dort is maybe more likely in a swap for Bogi though because Cason Wallace, Caruso, etc making Dort expendable at his cap figure .. But I like the thinking.

His contract per year is cheaper and descending. Also if the need to move him they will be able to move him for an asset for cap space on his current deal.

Joe was on his way out of the league after leaving Philly so yeah they would consider him homegrown given his growth came under their development. Also the reason they gave him the contract extension.

undersized shooting guards arent the hottest commodity these days... i think bogdanovic makes their team better this year and i wouldnt expect them to get more than 2nd(s) for Joe, which is what they get here (1 second to dump dieng, another direct to them)

The difference between Joe and Bogdanovic is not that great for the Thunder to rock the boat.

Yea in the end it’s probably this.

OP value is fair though Joe is valued at a positive that’s not a first and Dieng cost some value to drop.

OKC probably re-evaluate at trade deadline or next offseason.

The CBA is designed to prevent teams from hoarding talent but why would a team trade depth before they have to?
