Markannen to Pistons

With the Pistons holding 2 expiring deals in Harris + Ivey, all their 1st round picks and the East wide open, it seems like Pistons are in a prime posiiton to land a major piece to move the needle and position themselves as a top 4 seed in EC.
Based on that ill offer this idea. I apologize if similar idea has been posted recently.
To Detroit
-Lauri Markannen (4 years, $196 million)
To Utah (waive Mykhaliuk & Love)
-Tobias Harris (1 year, 26.6 million)
-Jaden Ivey (1 year, $10.1 million plus Q.O.)
-Bobi Klintman (2 years, $4.2 million plus T.O.)
-2026 1st round pick
-2028 1st round pick
-2030 1st round pick
Why?
-The Pistons make a move given their emergence last season and ability to move into Top 4 positioning in conference. They can repalce Ivey with re-adding Beasley and add frontcourt depth with minimum contract players for depth if desired.
Cunningham/Sasser
LaVert/Beasley?/Green/Lanier
Thompson/Holland/Robinson
Markannen/Reed/FA?
Duren/Stewart/FA?
-Utah cashes out on Markannen as they look to continue to stockpile 1sts and create more 2026 off-season flexibility
Clayton Jr./Collier/Ivey
Bailey/Williams/George
Niang/Sensabaugh/Klintman
Harris/Anderson/Hendricks
Kessler/Nurkic/Filipowski

Too much for Markannen, he is a positive value still on that contract, but not haul type of value.

I think pistons hang up on Ivey and Utah is fine with that. 3 1sts for markkanen if he returns to 2024 form is fair enough

Detroit is probably not willing to pay 3 picks and Ivey for Lauri, its a big risk and limits their ceilling considering they are adding an expensive piece along with Cade combining to 90M into 2 players alone, altough the timeline makes sense, but they must be pretty sure Holland and Thompson will keep improving significantly.
2 picks seems closer honestly

I agree it is too much. I also wouldn't really want Ivey. I like him, but he is going to need to be paid and I don't love our resulting guard rotation with him. I also agree w/Saul, if Lauri returns to form, 3 1sts is probably a competitive offer.

Danny is that you? Massive overpay.
Anyway, utah doesn't need ivey and 3 picks+a prospect is way out of line.

Take out ivey and make the 2030 pick a swap instead of an outright pick.
Redirect harris to the kings for derozan and 2 2nd round picks.

I think DeRozan and the SAS 1st would be closer and Sacramento shouldn't do that.

This is an opening offer from the Jazz. It's not anywhere near what the ultimate valuation would be.
And that's regardless of the fit of Ivey. Take him out and 3 picks is still too much.

Lauri just doesn't have that kind of value.

Lauri has like a top 3 worst contract in the league. Utah would be lucky to just dump him.

Ivey, Harris, and 2 1sts (one lightly protected) for Lauri seems right to me.

Ivey and 2 firsts as the headliner seems like a very competitive offer, 3 firsts feels like an overpay.

How about adding the Celtics to the deal?
Boston trades: Simons and a 1st for Stewart - gets them under the tax and helps positionally
Detroit trades: Harris, Stew and a 1st for Markannen
Utah trades: Markannen for Harris, Simons and two 1sts

I would rather keep Lauri.

I actually like this for all teams better than any other proposal I have seen in this thread.

I'd like to see how the Pistons go with the current roster until closer to the trade deadline. If we aren't keeping pace with the top 4 in the East, and Markannen is also having a good season, then we should consider a move for him.
The OP offer seems like a bit of an overpay. I'd replace Ivey with Sasser and do two firsts (one being lightly protected). Factoring in Markannen's contract and injury history.

I think this would be better. Maybe the 2026 pick is unprotected and the 2028 pick is top-8 protected. If the 2028 pick does not convey, it is top-4 protected in 2029 and unprotected in 2030. Something like that.

Like the idea of Markkanen coming to Detroit. Especially if we re-sign Beasley.
Don't like including Ivey.
Tobias and filler plus picks is all id do. Thats a massive contract.
Duren Stew
Markkanen Holland
Ausar Robinson
Ivey Beasley
Cade Levert
To match his salary$44mil it would probably have to be Duncan or Levert who has to go with Tobias $25mil. Sasser makes too little and Reed only 6mil

Agree.
I see Markkhannen as a third/fourth starter, but paid full value as a second star. I'd want a significant discount on trade value to take on that contract.
