GSW/SAC/MIL

Warriors trade Kuminga, GSW choice of Santos/Post/TJD
Warriors receive Kuzma, Carter, rights to swap own 2026 1st for MIL/NOP worse 2026 1st, 2027 1st SAS (1-16 only, otherwise 2nd), 2026 CHA 2nd

Kings trade Monk, Carter, 2027 1st SAS (1-16 only, otherwise 2nd), 2026 CHA 2nd
Kings receive Kuminga (S&T 3 years @ 25-28M/year), GSW choice of Santos/Post/TJD

Milwaukee trades Kuzma, rights to swap worse of MIL/NOP 2026 1st for GSW 1st
Milwaukee receives Monk

--

The Warriors end the Kuminga saga swapping him for a similar more veteran player and a few minor assets: a conditional 1st, a swap that might or might not convey, and an early 2nd. And maybe a trial on Carter has a little value?

The Kings complete their pursuit of Kuminga, and move Monk. I don't agree with it but it seems to be what they want. They also receive one prospect from the Warriors.

The Bucks re-swap their 1st again and trade frontcourt for backcourt help, where they really need it.

Big issues for GS:

Doesn't work financially (I guess if JK's 1st year salary is high enough the deal could be made legal but it kills the ability to sign Hordord and others).
Kuzma isn't a credible rotation player on a non-tank team.
GS is a win-now team with a short timetable, adding future pick value to downgrade on-court isn't their direction.

I’m not fond of Kuminga and I’ll still take him over Kuzma. Maybe if he was an expiring. GS has Devin Carter at home in GP2, who will be on the min, who Kerr loves and who makes Steph laugh

Not even close. Assuming Kuminga at the reported 21M, the OP has GS sending out 12.7M and taking back 27.3M.

Financial issues aside, the return is not good for GS.

Neither Kuzma nor Carter are credible rotation players at this point in their respective careers. The SAS first probably doesn't convey. Barring a catastrophic Giannis injury the Bucks will be in the playoffs at least so that swap either doesn't matter or moves us from like, 22 to 18.

If this is the best offer on the table we should just tell Kuminga to go ahead and sign the QO so we can move on with the rest of our offseason
