Another AD to Atl, with Cha

They say if you wish for something hard enough, it may come true. While I am a firm believer in Jesus and prayer, wishing is the most I can do, as I won't pray for something as trivial as this. But here goes nothing

Atlanta receives: Anthony Davis
Cha receives: Zachary Riscaher, Dwight Powell
Dal receives: Kon Knueppel, K. Porzingis, Dal 2027 FRP returned (via Cha), a Cha 2nd, an Atl 2nd

Atlanta sees the wide-open East and puts their chips in. AD/Jalen/Dyson/Trae is as formidable a team as you'll see in the East. Cha gets last year's number one pick, who should form one of the most exciting young frontcourts with Miller. Dallas gets Cooper's running mate in Kon to hopefully rekindle some Duke magic, and he fits a major need. Kon has mentioned he sees himself in the mold of Klay, who' happens to be on the roster to be his mentor. They also get their pick back which opens up a ton of flexibility in terms of trade assets and what should be a plan to rebuild. Nico is also a petty SOB, so what better FU to Luka than trade the guy we got for you for Porzingis.

Could Dal squeeze out an additional first from someone, maybe instead of the 2nds, or is that too homer?

Atlanta gets way too thin, no SF at all after this

That's fair. I figured Jalen and NAW could play the 3, but assuming you think Jalen is really only a 4 and NAW a 2?

Yeah, most Hawks fan believe Jalen is a 4 and nothing more. The issue is having no solid bench players when doing a 2 for 1 in Atlanta right now, specially for a injury risk player like AD + Jalen coming back from a big injury.

Naw can play the 3 definitely, but having Bufkin, Kennard, Gueye as your 3 first players off the bench is terrible

I'd rather figure out who Knueppel is as a player, and that's coming from someone who was lukewarm at best on this pick

Wow, brutal for Charlotte. We say no.

Kon is worth more than Rischer. I would cut out Atlanta and keep Davis if anything here. I like Kon to much though, so I am keeping him for sure.

If Dallas wants a rebuilding package for Davis I would offer them some picks but not Kon.

Much rather have Risacher over Kon, don’t think he’s worth more at all. I certainly wouldn’t swap the 2 for Atl.

this is usually the case where you have two highly drafted players very early on in their careers, especially when they haven't yet gotten a real shot to prove themselves a hit or a miss. both teams will almost always want the guy they drafted.

I'm just saying....

LaMelo
Kon
Brandon Miller
........
........

Looks pretty good. Lets give it at least a year before we go trying to do something different.

Charlotte isn't paying a first and a second to swap Kon for Risacher and take on another dead roster spot in Powell. We are already going to be cutting guys.
