When the trade is legal to do so (January):

Warriors trade Kuminga, Moody, 26 FRP
Warriors receive Markkanen
Size and outside shooting at the PF spot

Kings trade Monk, 27 FRP (protected from SAS)
Kings receive Kuminga
Young, from a winning franchise, team up with Murray

Jazz trade Markkanen
Jazz receive Moody, Monk, 26 FRP and 27 FRP
Trade really is about getting assets (picks) for Markkanen

Utah is either going to trade Markkanen this year or he is going to waste away on a losing franchise.

There's a multi-page thread on Lauri to GSW here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2475954

To summarize, it doesn't work financially, defensively, or asset-wise for the Warriors (unless Utah is willing to drop their price to "just get him off our team")

Yah, there is the financial issue, and I also just think this is so short on value for Utah. We won't value Monk, and a protected pick + a late pick just isn't enough to be appealing.

Could Utah become a motivated seller on Markannen? Certainly—anything is possible—but there has been no indication that the Jazz are even leaning in that direction. To summarize, it doesn't work...

Totally fair. I think from our perspective, the defensive fit and financial issues are serious enough that we wouldn't be willing to roll the dice unless the cost to acquire him was very low (and I don't think Utah would or should move him at that price point, at least not yet)

The Warriors have two of the five most expensive contracts in the NBA. Lauri would give them three of the 20 most expensive. Given that he misses 25 games a year and can’t defend anyone, it’s an easy no.
