I can't think of a worse fit than Zion and Giannis.

If I was targeting a 2nd star to play with Giannis, he might be the very last guy on the list. Terrible stylistic fit and never healthy.

I also think if this is all the Pels could get, they simply keep him and hope for the best. That's a terrible return.

Yeah and not to pile on but this doesn't really work for the Warriors either. We need Moody a lot more than another PF/C.

Agree with both of these, but if all it costs you is Kuzma, Bobby Portis, and a distant 1st you might as well roll the dice and see what happens. Worst case you can probably flip Zion for better fit/more assets at the deadline

I’m still hoping Zion goes to the Pistons on the cheap, then stays healthy and becomes the great player that matches all expectations. Of course I’m dreaming, but a great Zion would fit at PF nicely.

I’d rather trade draft picks than part of the young core to get it done.

Zion is a wildly odd fit for Giannis and this package is basically nothing. The Bucks should aim much lower with that package and basically any other archetype of player

why is that? i think bobby would be a great 3rd big to play next to draymond/horford.

Curry/Melton
Podz/Hield
Butler/GPII
Green/Portis

You're missing TJD and Kuminga from this roster, both of whom are going to be playing the majority of their minutes at the 4/5 (TJD is a pure 5 and JK spends most of his time at the 4). This trade leaves us with a bunch of guards and a bunch of bigs but no one other than Butler who can reliably guard wings

i'm assuming kuminga will be gone by jan and TJD is not going to stop me from getting portis considering he didnt even get minutes last year in PO. I think GPII can guard SFs just fine

TJD may not stop me from getting Portis but he's decent enough that we aren't desperate for more big man depth.

If Kuminga is going out for a wing then this is more viable, but that's a big missing piece here.

Zion and Giannis is a challenging fit because regardless of what else you do, the paint will always be packed, but it'd be Hella fun. Left right combo and some high low stuff. Giannis has played with one big with passing chops ever and that was a cameo from washed DeMarcus Cousins! Would force Giannis to play more regular season C which is probably overdue. Could also have him at SF I guess and go jumbo with Turner. AJ Green would have to be glued to those guys too.

On topic, who knows what Zion's value is, but I'd agree the Pels wouldn't trade him for not much right now without rolling the dice again on him seeing the light and staying in shape.

To Knicks: Giannis/Murray/AJ Green

To Pelicans: Brunson/Robinson/OG

To Bucks: Zion/Murphy/Knicks Draft Capital

At that point, NO should take Giannis? They have more draft capital than NY and they could keep DJM in that case if they think he can bounce back..

Fears, Zion, Trey, and whatever else for Giannis. Green can’t be traded now but if Mil is going with Zion - they should want to keep Green.

What NYK draft capital? Do they have any?

I don't think it's possible to land Zion for Kuzma and a pick, or adding Portis. If pelicans accept that, means Zion is done to the point bucks shouldnt do that

If they don’t feel Giannis is a flight risk - sure.

Washington 1st that is most likely 2nds but still a 1st. And like 2-3 swaps.

I think you take the risk on a talent like Giannis unless he just says no. And until there is a “list” or we know who is on list, I just assume Giannis just wants to end up on a good team.

No idea if Dumars would be able to finish the roster by upgrading one of Poole/DJM.. Fair to not have faith in him doing that successfully

Giannis will never be traded to the Knicks...Can everyone stop with that nonsense.
