Sacramento and Milwaukee: DeRozan for Kuzma

Post#1 » by drosestruts » Yesterday 3:04 am

Simple one for one trade. No additional players, no picks, no swaps.

Milwaukee in: DeMar DeRozan

Sacramento in: Kyle Kuzma

Bucks:

Porter/Rollins/Anthony
Green/Trent Jr
DeRozan/Coffey
Giannis/Prince
Turner/Portis/Sims

The Kuzma experience is not working in Milwaukee. Bucks don't really have anyone else who is creating their own shot well. Giannis is playing at MVP leve land DeRozan can take some of the scoring, and creation off him and be ecspecially valuable when Giannis sits. Floor spacing from the 5 spot, helps offset DeRozan mid-range proclivity. DeRozan and Giannis will put every opponent into foul trouble.

Kings:

Schroder/Westbrook/Carter
LaVine/Ellis
Murray/Monk
Kuzma/Clifford/McDermott
Sabonis/Eubanks/Raynaud

The Kings aren't one move away from fixing everything but the DeRozan/LaVine pairing doesn't work. I've long maintained that both are talented players, but don't work well together. With Kuzma they get another tall wing who could use a change of scenery. It better balances the lineup with minimal effect on the cap sheet as both players are similar money and the same contract length. Kings can up the pace and let Zach be the top scorer.

Milwaukee needs to add value, probably a 1st. DeRozan is a better player and expiring.

Kuzma is ass.

MIL would need to pay the difference or they can keep him.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

I think a couple 2nds from MIL and its a fair deal considering age and how awful the current Kings fit is

So the Bucks are rolling, we've established a new defence, pace and space style, Kuzma is even doing well in a versatile combo frontcourt role and we're going to trade him someone who wasn't impactful at his peak, is now well past it, goes against everything we're doing, and solves nothing, tanks our ball movement, defence and operates in the same place as our star? We're good thanks.

I squandered an asset? Then Hammond taught me well.

Seems an easy no for both teams. Kings rather have the partial for next year and easier to trade at deadline, bucks are finding scoring in other places.

No idea why rather team does this. Feel like both players get traded and get worse. Fit is bad.

Kuzma is bad... and yet his role is likely more useful than Demar's role. The Bucks are trying to be a good team; Demar doesn't fit on a good team. At least you can bench Kuzma if he's not playing well.

Kuzma has found his role, is he overpriced at the moment, Yes...Is he bad, so far this year, not at all.
