Sac/Grizz/Heat

Grizz get Sabonis/Herro
Kings get Ware/Wiggins
Heat get Ja/KCP/Edey

Grizz move off Ja and pair a really good front court, while getting back a scorer to fill that void.

Kings start the rebuild. Ware becomes a foundational piece moving forward and Wiggins adds some length.

Heat think they can combine Ja and Heat culture like they did with Jimmy. They take a swing.

This is particularly bad for Miami, which gave up a lot for a player in Morant who has been consistently worse for three consecutive seasons.

Grizzlies don't want Sabonis, no serious team does. I definitely don't see them moving Ja for a non-need. The Heat and Kings make off like bandits.

If we move Ja we expect real pick assets.

I'm not into this for Miami. I don't trust Ja on South Beach. It might be great value, but it's a terrible fit. We've taken too many risks on troubled point guards.

Only the last response is something I take as a serious answer and concern here.

It may just be that Ja needs a coach like Spo who doesn’t take any nonsense to get him back to his developmental curve. Idk.

But the rest of you all sound like a bunch of homers who just want to have all the goodies and give up nothing. This trade is actually very balanced insofar as fit and roster balance after for all teams. I think that some picks could be added if needed or filler that has some potential. But overall it fills holes in all three rosters.

Flame me or criticize if you like but there’s a lot of responses that echo capping on players from many other threads and it is just impossible to take responses seriously when you start from there and don’t look at team needs and balance.

Ja has once again devalued himself through poor choices and behavior. You can’t seriously expect to get his value as he was before all the stupid started.

He used “if” for the reason. We just keep Ja. He brings X value for us, so there is no point for us to move him for anything less. Simple rationale.

See Butler, Jimmy

How'd that work out for us?

What do you mean? There is no sign either Ja or the Grizzlies is unhappy. There is a struggle to adapt a new coach strategy. That’s it.

You keep planting this flag, but a team with JJJ should absolutely be open to trading for Sabonis. That frontcourt would be a handful for other teams to deal with. If things don't work out for the Cavs this year, I'd pull the trigger on a Sabonis for Allen swap.

The Wizards could pair Sarr with him. You talk about him like he's a scrub, but he's a good player who in addition to get 20 efficient points a game, is a great rebounder and a load on the boards. Defensively, if you put him in a drop coverage scheme, next to a PF capable of offering secondary rim protection, he's going to surprise some people.

You're right! How could I be so foolish? My team always suspends players when they're happy with them! And the players always call out the coaches when they're satisfied with the way things are going!

No, right now, they're not happy with each other. They may work it out, but right now, they're not happy...

He's absolutely a good player, if your team i trying to win 35-45 games.

If you trade your franchise star at each instance of public disagreement, you will be running of out any pretty quickly. Nobody knows how deep is that disagreement. All I know is that there is no market for Ja currently, so Memphis should wait for the next season.

Trade leaves Miami without a wing.

Unless you think masquerading a sg or pf full time is a good idea.
