Just to throw a few good fixes for teams just in need of small adjustments to improve their roster
Trade 1:
Pistons trade:
Sasser
Green
2026 1st lottery protected

Pacers trade:
TJ McConnel
2026 second rounder
2026 Raptors second rounder

Why: Pistons add a veteran backup PG whom just competes hard and had a clear role in a finals team. Fan favorite and locked in a good contract. Pacers are in a gap year and cash in their veteran for fair value. Pistons pick should be a late one, and one of these seconds could be high


Lakers trade:
Gabe Vincent
Knetch

Kings trade:
Dennis

Why: Lakers upgrade from Gabe to Dennis for Knetch whom value is low. Kings start their tear down getting expiring and a project for Dennis. Lakers hope that playing for a loaded team with Luka, Reaves and Lebron will make Dennis compromise and give his all with ocasional starting games when one of Luka or Reaves rests.


Pelicans trade:
Alvarado
Bey

Wolves trade:
Diligham
Clark
Miller

Why: Pelicans trade 2 veterans for a prospect in Dilly and hope he can work alongside Fears going forward. Wolves add depth with ball handling skills off the bench and spacing big body in bey whom has been hot this start of the season.
This one is harded to argue as Fears and Dilly might not compliment each other very well, but it is more about asset gathering more than fit right now.


Which one is farther away from reality?

Not sure I want Dennis back, but wouldn't say no for the Lakers either also opens roster spot

I don’t hate it, but the Pistons aren’t going to send out their upcoming 1st until it’s certain a larger, more important deal can’t be made.

Can't imagine the pistons burning a first for a backup pg. Eventually, they are going to put some chips on the table to bring in a #2 option and will likely save assets for that.

I’ll pass on Dennis and his contract at this point of his career.

I see and agree that is a bold move, but this is assuming the team is working as well as it is with the continuity from their main pieces. Looking at bigger trades it ends up moving around Tobias Harris and Ivey possibly(Ivey whose value is at an all time low and shouldnt be moved right now).
Can't see Pistons trading for a 2# option this year considering they would have to add Tobias Harris, Ivey, Holland and picks for let's say Lauri? It's a big shift that could make the team worse, right?

I see Pistons this year adding small improvements and bringing back Tobias in a team friendly deal, Ivey too, Duren in a big contract for next year, and then looking at bigger trades. Drafting someone at 25th this year might not be as useful oppose to adding a Veteran backup that helps the team this year ? Am I too off on this evaluation? At the deadline if Pistons are number 1 still in the conference, how valuable will be their 2026 first?

But yeah, I know it's a long shot, my question would be, what improvements you can see happening? Ivey traded? Big moves? Sasser and Klintman for Pippen jr?

We got Schroder at the deadline for minimal assets last year.

I don't think we're in such a rush for a backup pg that we'll give up a first. Our current regime seems quite a bit stingier when it comes to asset management.

Adding to that, given the teams fast start and the fact that we still have a lot of pieces that aren't playing, I doubt the Pistons make ANY moves before they are "at least somewhat" healthy.

We’re definitely going to see what Ivey looks like before considering moving him. I have no idea what we’re going to see when that happens.

off topic, but when is he due back? I have him in most of my fantasy teams expecting him to be back already.

He was “re-evaluate in 4 weeks” at the start of the season. It’s about that time, but I doubt he’s on the court for at least another few weeks. And I mean “at least”. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s January.

Can’t help you there. We’re just waiting to see what he looks like on the court. All I know is he looked A LOT stronger, which could be good or bad.

I remember when Saddiq Bey got all jacked up and turned into a meathead on the court, thinking he was Adrian Dantley or something.

The fit of those Pels trades are pretty awful.
