Agreed, but Dallas has a 20+M TPE and need a shooter, and some other team can sign Fontechio to TPMLE/BAE and Heat turn it into S&T.
So, if MIA S&T Powell for 20M into TPE and Fontechio into BAE/TPMLE, and lumps them into Giannis deal, they become hardcapped at 2nd Apron instead of 1st, right?

Im not a fan of Shaedon Sharpe, but does a swap of him and PJ Washington make sense? PDX has a glut of guards (though most are PGs), and Dallas is in need of more guard depth, so I thought it was worth a discussion. I also believe Dallas' GM guy is the guy from PDX who drafted Sharpe.

Just getting in here on the first page. Kind of surprised that we got announcements on Barnes/Champs and not Wemby's extension. I'm over here hoping it means he is going to take less than max to allow team flexibility.

It's very weak, everything was done during this week.

Yup. If they receive a player via S&T, they are hard capped at 1st apron. If they S&T Simone away for nothing, there’s no hard cap. If they S&T Simone away and lump it into a Giannis trade, then they’ve received a player contract in return and are hard capped at the 2nd apron.

Hey can’t even technically discuss his extension yet. July 1. A little after free agency opens.

Spurs aren't dumb. They will offer him the max they can over 5 years with a PO because anything else would be disrespectful. No reason to ask him to be Tim Duncan when he hasn't gotten his first huge deal yet plus with his size, injuries mean he might only get one of these. Spurs won't be penny wise though.

That makes sense. I will still cling to my hopes and dreams until tomorrow then.

Oh he’ll get whatever he wants from the team. That’s not really a question.

Hope the server could handle all the free agency mayhem.

If there is one thing in the NBA you can be 100% certain of, it's the Spurs offering and Wemby agreeing to a max extension as soon as it's allowed.

Stein mentioned Marcus Sasser as a trade possibility for Dallas. What would the return look like? SRP's, Lively?, Sasser + Duncan or Lavert for Washington?
