Where does DDR Land Now?

DeRozan is still a good player, and an AWESOME vet leader. He'd be a perfect 6th man type for a contender-someone to get RS buckets night in, night out, and he should come cheap.

Lots of teams could use him-where does he end up?
I think he goes to the Clips or Lakers, but there are endless options for him now that LBJ is settled

Is he mentally ready to be a 6th man on a contender? He could help a lot of teams in that roll, but he’s coming off a productive 31mpg season.

GS has a gaping SF hole and DDR's game can kind of work as a poor man's version of Butler until Butler returns.

Yeah, I don't see Philly at all, plus their roster is overloaded

Heat make a lot of sense, and he could help them. I think this board underrates the value of someone who can get baskets, even if it's not super-efficient. Miami could use offense, and I'm sure DDR will consider them, but I see the pull of going home to LA and the Clips would probably love to sign him, as the biggest factor

Clippers need their new star, and voila, there he is!
Cant see lakers as someone suggested. Bad fit and already above roster limits with no easy way to get it down

Obviously not all of them, but I think they end up with a couple. Any who take a minimum. Probably Beal and Love.

DDR would fit with GS, a less playmaking version of Livingston, dude used to kill it from mid-range in their system.

What does he care most about? Money, role, competing for a ring?

Warriors can offer him a lot of minutes (particularly in the first half of the season) but not a ton of money or a shot at a title.

Another player I don't get the hate for. DDR would help a lot of teams, even if he isn't a perfect fit. Reminder - we're talking about a 36 year old late free agent signing for *at most* the MLE.

Too lazy to look up how the buyouts work in this current CBA. In the old days, whatever they signed for offset the money owed by the previous team. That incentivized ring chasing, so they changed it so like half? went to the team and half? went to the player. Thus, you didn't have players getting bought out and signing for minimums pre-season to a contender that was maxed out as a cap loophole. But I also don't know how this affects the current CBA with respect to tax aprons unless from a cap standpoint, it is just viewed as any other UFA signing.

Seems like Miami is the best fit, but playing for the hometown L.A. teams might be worth more to him.
