Poll: Is Curry to Charlotte a realistic possibility after Dec 15th this season?

Steph will be 38.5 when the season starts on an expiring contract. He's making $62.6 million this year. The Warriors have lost out on likes of Giannis, LeBron, and Jaylen Brown with little free agent options left to keep them in upper echelon of Western Conference. They have an aging core (Green + Butler) and mediocre depth at best.

What are the chances the Warriors have any interest in dealing Curry to a Eastern Conference team?. A realistic landing spot maybe Charlotte.

Why?
-Excess 1st round picks
-A replacement PG on a decent deal (White)
-Multiple expiring contracts (Miller + Williams + Mann)

What are the chances during season, after December 15th, the Warriors would entertain dealing him and what would Charlotte's interest be?

Example framework of deal:

To Charlotte
-Steph Curry (1 year, $62.6 million)

To Golden State
-Colby White (3 years, $74 million)
-Brandon Miller (1 year, $15.1 million plus QO)
-Grant Williams (1 year, $14.2 million)
-Tre Mann (1 year, $8 million plus TO)
-2027 Dallas 1st (Top 2 protected)
-2028 Minnesota 1st
-2029 Cleveland 1st
-2030 Minnesota 1st (Top 1 protected)

It would give the Hornets Curry, Allen and KK across the 1-3 spot for an incredible trio of shooters as they look to win a playoff round and beyond in 2026-2027 season.

It gives the Warriors a direct guard replacement on a reasonable deal, a young wing they can secure long term in Miller, expirings and 4 1st round picks to rebuild.

Is this realistic?

I believe Steph retires a Warrior.

And the notion that he’d have this much trade value at 39 is absurd.

Steph isn't your typical 39-year-old. If anything, the picks in O.P. are underwhelming.

I cannot imagine Charlotte would pay for Curry's past success. Filler and 2 1sts would be likely a mistake imo, but at least one that wouldn't kill your future like the OP.

I think Curry shouldn’t leave GS. He’s a legacy player and really doesnt need to prove anything else. But if he wanted to go to CLT? Not sure I agree with value of OP.

And I think this deal makes more sense in the offseason. In Sept you could sign and trade Dray for Mann using the big TPE, then stack Grant/Grayson/DFS/etc for Curry. Throw in 3-4 firsts.

Dray/Naz/Miller/Kon/Curry closing lineups seem fun. Bench led by Coby/Royce/Moussa and a few good prospects.

By December 15th, you’ve played 24-28 games-ish and if Coby is your starting PG, you most likely have what 7-10 wins?

The warriors won’t be interested in trading Curry. If he asks to be traded we may consider it and in that scenario he’ll probably have a list of teams he prefers

Hornets should not and would not trade Brandon Miller for a two-year Steph run that would -- at very best -- top out in the 2nd round of the playoffs.

I picked low, but only because there wasn't a really low option. It's much closer to 1% than 39%. The Warriors appear ready to hand Draymond a multi-year deal.

I don’t agree with that. Yes, OP offer is way too much.

With that said, I think the idea of Curry to Charlotte ship has sailed. It would have been to partner with say Giannis, or even James.

Op is way too much and is Charlotte even a better team? He’d be leaving the only team he’s ever played for and a situation he controls for a lot of unknowns. I don’t see it. Not yet at least.

Actually I think all four of those FRPs have a chance to be decent. I don’t trust Minny and CLE to remain good with their lack of assets and cap situations.

OP package is great return for Steph, but I don’t think it is realistic (or Charlotte lost their minds).

Steph literally built the Chase Center. He sells so many jerseys and tickets. I think he’s going to end his career there.

I think Steinbach, Anderson, Salaun, Dallas 1st-plus filler salary would be enough (GWilliams/DFS/TMann-all expiring)

Kon/GAllen
Miller/LIam M
Reid/O'Neale
Diabate/Kalkbrenner
Best shooting lineup ever

GS honors Steph's wishes (only way it would happen) and adds 3 young guys, a good pick and expiring $

GS never going to trade Steph and he’s never going to ask. He saw the teams Lobe and Dirk had at the end and still admires both to no end. He’s got no illusions that it might be a similar end for him
