Yves Missi to PHI

Post#1 » by babyjax13 » Sat Jul 25, 2026 7:39 pm

NOP trades: Yves Missi
PHI trades: Delan Terry, Johni Broome, 2027 OKC/HOU/IND/MIA 2nd (most favorable), 2028 DET 2nd, cash (for Terry or Broome being released)

Philadelphia gets a backup center upgrade. Missi started 67 games his rookie year and was serviceable in that role. Embiid/Missi/Bona/Hukporti is Philly's center rotation after this, and I think it is good enough without Embiid to win quite a few games. Philly also drops some money that pulls them under the first apron with one open roster spot.

New Orleans seems to not be invested in Missi as there have been persistant rumors that he is on the trade block since his rookie year. Here they get what will be a really high second round pick in 2027 (now that the order of the 2nd round is reversed) and what will likely be a pretty good one in 2028 + a look at Broome who seems like his hypothetical shooting could make him a nice fit with Zion off the bench.

"the first 16 picks of the second round are determined in exact inverse order of the newly expanded 16-team lottery drawing"

if indiana and miami makes the playoffs as top 6 seeds then it wont be that good of a second

Ah, thought it was the whole 2nd round. Philly has other 2nds that can be subbed in.

I do think he is a little overvalued but other team could offer more because of need, like the Raptors.

I think it would have to be Philon.

And Missi isn’t worth Philon, but understand I’m higher on Philon than most. But NOP could add minor value back with the hope of Fears/Philon starting together once they develop a bit..

Pels trading their only rotation worthy center seems an issue, but could probably turn Herb into one in some follow up deal..

Walker, Bona, and a 33 1st for Missi? Light protection can be negotiated.

They would get abused defensively. They’re a young team, they’re better off keeping Missi with the hope he can develop. I wouldn’t count on Queen playing heavy minutes for 82 either.

What if the Pels take Bona off the Sixers hands into their Alvarado exception for some future 2nd, and then the Sixers just sign Nick Richards to a vet min to be their backup C?
