Re: Herro to Dallas
Bucks shouldn't take Martin for free, but no interest in paying unprotected 1st for Herro
Defense wins draft lotteries!

Herro is worth something, but something less than a UP 1st. Need some protection and rollover language on that pick.

Re: Herro to Dallas
Dallas is my best guess of a dark horse Herro destination this late in the offseason.
Mavs could use a long term starter at SG and have excess players in the front court. Bucks have an absurd number of guards.
I don’t disagree though about Dallas being highly reticent to deal a future first even with protections. If the asset value they’d include could come from Gafford or PJ Washington in a multi-team trade that seems like it’d be preferable, and maybe could prevent Milwaukee from having to eat Caleb Martin’s salary to make the numbers work too.
Think a deal would also make that much more sense if the Bucks need to drop salary to stay under the first apron hard cap to facilitate a Peyton Watson sign and trade.
Milwaukee takes back less in the deal and then buy out Klay Thompson minus what he’d earn from his next team. Bucks send picks to Denver we’d get (directly or indirectly) from sending Herro to Dallas.

Re: Herro to Dallas
Herro to Dallas can work, but it would probably be a PJ centric 3 team deal, to balance the lineup. Not a big fan of a Kyrie/Herro backcourt, but i would think Kai's days on Dallas are numbered
