NOP/OKC

Post#1 » by louc1970 » Tue Aug 18, 2026 12:48 am

NOP makes an aggressive move.
OKC weighs the chance to improve their financial situation.

NOP sends Missi, Herb Jones, Murphy 3, future FRP
OKC sends Holmgren, Topic

NOP gets a piece to go with Queens/Fears
OKC splits Holmgren into a 3-D player in Murphy, a piece they could move further in Jones, and Missi can backup Hartenstein.

I don't own the Pelicans, but if I did, Dumars and Weaver would be done shipping out future first round picks. I don't know that Chet/Topic add more than 5 wins (maybe 10 if Topic really surprises) with Murphy going out. They're just not close enough to do anything like this.
This will end badly

No reason for OKC to do this .

I wouldn’t do this deal but I think vision makes sense. A 4/5 who shoots and defends. Jabarie Smith is a guy that intrigued me alot.

Holmgren doesnt have that kind of value right now. Hard pass for the Pelicans...
