1-Nnaji to Bulls for a 2nd (Bulls can absorb)
2-Cam Johnson and the Cavs' 2031 1st for Jalen Smith, Okoro, Leonard Miller
Den improves their depth. JSmith can play behind or with Jokic, Okoro is fine for a bench wing and LMiller is an interesting talent
Bulls add a nice, future asset and go into this year with
Giddey/Jones
Powell/Swain
Matas/Cam J
Wilson/Noa E
Claxton/ZCollins
Deep bench of Dillingham and Nnaji-maybe sign Adbaji to a year deal and one more big
This is about the Bulls getting that pick. This year is about development and for the new FO to see what we have. If they need max cap space next summer they can buyout and stretch Nnaji.

Re: Den-Chi, 2 parts
Is that enough to get Denver under the 2nd apron?

I had a version earlier that I think is more palatable to Denver of Nnaji, 2030 swap rights for Leonard.

For me JSmith is very valuable to the Nugs, since he could start next to Jokic when Gordon is out, or play when Jokic sits
He's a great 3rd big-had health issues but very valuable.
Okoro is very solid for a bench piece, and LMiller has upside
I think this helps Denver's depth a ton

Re: Den-Chi, 2 parts
A) Nnaji hasn't played much which is why the 2nd round pick is no g deal, Unless he suddenly 'finds his game' Nnaji is going to pick up his player option so the Bulls would be on the constant look out for a way to trade him. So taking him on is a two year load. and he's just not good enough to have hang around at any price. Bring up the PWill contract but he's shown to be a better ballplayer than Nnaji.
B) the Bulls absolutely need that CLE pick no matter how far in the future it is, mainly because $23M is not small change and ties their hands at the deadline. It's DEN's gamble that it doesn't end up in the lottery and makes them look foolish. Okoro is no loss but could have value for DEN, Miller is at best the 13th guy on the roster now with not much time on the court to be found.
Obviously Caleb Wilson is going to start, if he falters The Bulls won't have Smith to take over that either falls to Buzelis to take more PF minutes with Johnson playing more at the 3. Then the Bulls only have 2 centers so they need to sign somebody. The danger of having Johnson at all is he's going to be looking to put up numbers to get his next, hopefully, big contract. The Bulls have a young roster that needs time to gel and having a veteran looking for stats isn't going to be what a rookie head coach is going to want to deal with. Looking to the future they're off with a quiet team oriented guy like Patrick Williams who won't upset the apple cart.

I agree that the Bulls will want that first round pick, but I don't think Denver will offer it in a deal like this. Yes, they save money, but lose the best player in the deal.
After this deal Denver finds themselves without a starting SF (unless you think Spencer Jones should start). Jalen Smith is an improvement over Bagley, Holmes and Brazile, but not enough to trade a first.

I think Smith is a better player/fit than Cam J for the Nugs
Then, Okoro is solid and could easily start
LMiller is a lottery ticket, but could be something
We know Nnaji is a negative asset.
Here, Den gets three rotation guys for 1 or 2 (depending if you want Nnaji in the rotation) and save over $10 million (which is like $40 million in tax)

Jalen and Cam play different positions. Plus, Jalen can't score as well as Cam. Different roles and one that Denver would miss.
If Denver is healthy Jalen is a backup at best.
Okoro is a defensive specialist and not someone they need. Miller is ok, but not a big upgrade.
The money saving is nice, but not enough to give up a first.
