NO-Chi

Post#1 » by pipfan » Wed Aug 26, 2026 9:04 pm

Not sure about Hawkins-I only saw him play once and he looked decent but NO is in the tax now.

Hawkins plus 2 NO's 2nd round picks for a future 2nd from the Bulls

If Hawkins sucks, never mind
If there is still a chance-Bulls need a SG and can absorb him-plus he's expiring

Just make it Hawkins and a second for a fake second. Hawkins sucks though.

I'm a little surprised that the Bulls didn't make a run at Mathurin as a cheap Coby White replacement. Edit: I just read that they're interested in Kuminga so maybe that's why. They don't really need to trade anyone to get him.
This will end badly

Yeah, it may be a salary dump type trade like this. Grizzlies were rumored to be the team. Hawkins has been bad, but it's interesting that Bryson Graham was part of the Pels' GM team that drafted him.

At this point the Bulls should do something along these lines. Take a chance on a young player and get a 2nd round pick. I can’t see the Pelicans offering two seconds to get rid of him though

Kid looked unstoppable in his last game vs Utah. Might have been his only good performance of the season though. He's shown a few flashes, but he's dreadfully inconsistent.

The Bulls have to send back a 2nd, so NO sends 2 (net 1 2nd for Chi)

Just depends on whether there's some legit hope that Hawkins has enough talent to possibly stick (and that he's not a lockerroom issue). Bulls need shooting

Feels like Chicago would just trade a fake second or the rights to some player they have. Seems like a lot of teams have the rights to some former second round pick who was drafted 10 or so years ago

As a Pels fan, Hawkins is terrible. A shooter that can’t shoot. And just keeps shooting. He’s too small and weak defensively, and out of position any way. If you want to know why a Pels team with so much talent can always struggle, it’s by playing players like this.

Thanks-maybe Chi should just pass then, and try another team
