Golden State/Miami

Post#1 » by Bentley1225 » Wed Jan 2, 2008 1:50 pm

Here is a simple deal regarding the Heat looking for a new home for Smush Parker.

To Miami
-Patrick O'Bryant (expiring)

To Golden State
-Smush Parker (PO for 2008-09)

Why?

Inevitably, O'Bryant is not part of the long term plans in Oakland. He really does not fit the Warriors system as he was drafted before Nellie came on board. Certainly, he will get a chance in Miami with 3 aging centres.

The Heat get rid of Parker as Golden State acquires another quick backcourt player to add to the mix.

With Parkers PO for next season, I dont know if Miami would have to add a 2nd rounder but I don't think they would mind picking up Parker for 1 more year at $2.5 million.

Parker is terrible. How he remains in the NBA is a mystery to me. If I were the Warriors, I'd rather let O'Bryant walk at season's end.

Yes the Warriors rather let POB walk next season rather than take on Smush....

the two players that would interest GS would be Wright or Haslem(to an extent)
