LAKERS: get some shorter contracts, but switch the good chemistry/team players for the potentially disruptive Walker. this trade also opens up some more time for ariza and enable odom to play his more natural sf spot.

PG:Fisher-Farmar-Crittenton
SG:Kobe-Vujacic-Karl
SF:Odom-Ariza
PF:Walker-Turaif-Morris
C:Bynum-Brown-Mihm

KNICKS: the knicks move some non playing scrubs for an infusion of good character/team players.

PG:Marbury-Robinson-Collins
SG:Crawford-Richardson
SF:Walton-Radmanovic-Chandler
PF:Randolph-Lee-Jeffries-Balkman
C:Curry-Rose

TWOLVES: MN saves some money and dumps Walker. James is $3 million cheaper and expired next year (if not bought out before and save even more money).

PG:Jaric-Foye-Telfair
SG:McCants-Green-Jones
SF:Brewer-Gomes-Buckner
PF:Jefferson-Smith-Madsen
C:Ratliff-Doleac-James

I don't really see what this does for any of the teams involved to make them want to do it.

You say the Knicks need to get an infusion of good character/team players. Wasn't Radmanovic the one that bitched and moaned about shots, contract and playing time like a sissy girl? Not to mention none of the guys they'd be dealing are poor character/team players.

And the Knicks don't have enough SF's that they need 6 years of Luke Walton?

any change is probably good for the knicks. radman got his contract and is now playing and acting fine.

Any change is NOT good for the Knicks. That's the same type of random logic that Isiah Thomas has apparently been following the last 4 years and that's obviously not been good for the Knicks.

The Knicks need to build a team that has balance. Trading shorter contracts for 2 more small forward (when they already have 4) is not a good move unless one of those small forwards are franchise type talents (which they are not).

no way TWolves go for this. Toine only has two years on the contract and then they can decline the last two years.

this deal doesnt look good for the t-wolves, even though it would help to unload Walker

Odom is a PF not a SF. The fact that Ariza is a better defender than Walton and Vlad is opening up playing time for him.

Jerome James has a player option for a third year, while Walker only has 2 on his deal. Walker has actually been a far better teammate than I expected, cheering on the youth, and he's averaging 11 PPG for MIN.

I like shamsports for salaries and depth charts:
