Successful Trade Scenario
Congratulations on a successful trade.
Due to Houston, Toronto, and Sacramento being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Houston, Toronto, and Sacramento had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Probably not. We generally feel Battier has pretty decent value. I'd rather have Artest than Salmons in a Battier trade, though.
I do not know why you would prefer Artest... but have you seen what Salmons is doing this year? Houston needs another scoring threat that can actually run plays. Salmons can handle the ball and can create for himself. This would create good Chemistry between the "big three" and that third scoring punch.
For Toronto, they get the defensive player they are looking for that can hit the open shot. They give up the a ball handler and one of the few that can create a shot for themselves on that team, but they need a defensive presence on the wings due to week C,PF defenders.
Sacramento does this to shed some salary, along with rebuilding with draft pick(s). John is 28 years old (prime) but Sactown is not going anywhere until Bibby, Miller, and Thomas are gone. They get Delfino who's per 40 minute stat is about 15 points , almost 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals a game (comparable to salmons but is 3 years younger).

considering Sacramento wants to go younger i would presume they want decent youth and draft picks.

considering that Martin can be released (non guaranteed contract), Dixon is expiring. Plus would you prefer a 1st round pick from Toronto or Houston?
Delfino is no slouch either. His Per 40 minutes is very comparable to John. An eFG of almost 50 percent along with 40 percent three point shooting a TS% of 51 percent

Huh? If you're trying to say TOR's pick would be better than HOU's, you are horribly mistaken.
TOR is 17-15, while HOU is 15-17. I'm pretty sure that TOR will make the playoffs this year, while the Rockets would have to vault Golden State and Utah in order to see the postseason.
Some people really have a way with words. Other people... not... have... way.

That is what i thought too but if the Kings are rebuilding, they are not going to do anything until Brad Miller's contract is done along with Kenny Thomas. By that time Salmons will be in his 30's while Delfino will be in his prime. For the next 3 years Kenny Thomas and Miller will be making a combined salary of 21 million a year.

True but do you honestly think Rockets are gonna have a worst record then the raptors? That would be a travesty.

Regardless, Salmons is worth more then the proposed package... Salmons is playing his best ball in his career...(17/5/3/1.5 50%FG 46% 3FG)

he better be putting up career stats at this age. Would you not prefer 2 first rounders and a guy putting up comparable stats and defense three years younger?
