UTA/NYK/SAC -- Jazz capitalize on Artest trade
Utah
out: Jarron Collins, Jason Hart, cash, 2nd rounder
in: Mikki Moore
upgrade at backup C or even start Moore and bring Okur off the bench to have more balance.
Rotation:
Okur/Moore
Boozer/Millsap
AK/Harpring
Brewer/Korver
DWill/Miles/Price
New York
out: Malik Rose, Fred Jones, David Lee, Nate Robinson
in: Ron Artest, Kenny Thomas
Get their coveted man. Artest loves New York and has great relationship with Isiah Thomas, so he should re-sign there.
Rotation:
Curry/Morris
Randolph/Thomas
Artest/Balkman
Crawford/QRich
Starbury/Collins
Sacramento
out: Ron Artest, Kenny Thomas, Mikki Moore
in: Malik Rose, Fred Jones, David Lee, Nate Robinson, Jason Hart (cut), Jarron Collins (cut), cash from UTA, UTA 2nd
They dump Thomas in the deal, and get their coveted young players Lee and Robinson. Also, with Lee coming in to take over at PF, veteran Mikke Moore will be expendable, so they can dump him for short deals of Collins and Hart to save more $$.
Rotation:
Miller/Hawes
Lee/Williams/Rose
Garcia/Jones
K$$/Salmons
Udrih/Robinson/Douby

I highly disagree...neither of those contracts are expiring, so your arguement is flawed.
the shear fact that Collins or Hart wont see the floor every again for the Utah Jazz is a bargain, and getting a defensive C with a good shooting percentage to go along with it.
...where does Utah sign?
love the trade

That "guy" from the DLeague? call yourself a fan? It's either THAT guy from your avatar or DLeague MVP candidate Morris ALmond

Im talking about that little guy that Fess carried or whatever, I dont follow the DLeague I know Mo, but im talking about the little guy who everyone thought might get called up eventually. didn't take the time to look up his name. okay so i looked it up and please forgive me for not knowing Kevin Kruger, and I thought I was a fan of the jazz.

We get an extra 2nd pick
Yeah but...Jason Hart (cut), Jarron Collins (cut), cash from UTA, UTA 2nd does not = Mikki Moore.
Especially since Mikki Moore's deal is essentially only 2 years. I figure the Kings are just going to keep "re-building on the fly" and then completely rebuild in 2009, when most of their big contracts expire.

I've seen this expressed by some Kings fans lately...how exactly have the Kings been "rebuilding on the fly"? They're not clearing cap, they're not acquiring picks...the only personnel move they made in the off-season was signing 32-year-old Mikki Moore. All they're doing is getting older.
Having so many guys get injured every year that you keep getting lotto picks isn't rebuilding on the fly

Because they are playing for .500 ball until 09 (which I believe they would be this year if they had Martin/Artest/Bibby playing since day 1), when Mikki, Bibby, and other big contracts will expire. Not completely rebuilding, but still being competitive without trading all the vets for cash/picks.
Therefore, "rebuilding on the fly".

That sounds a lot more like "staying mediocre" than "rebuilding on the fly". Rebuilding implies some kind of activity, like cutting salary or acquiring picks or young players. The Kings aren't really doing anything in terms of their roster except waiting.

I think management wants to see what this team can do when healthy. Martin has developed into one of the best SGs in the game, Artest is playing the best ball of his career,Garcia has made strides, and Brad Miller is now rebounding and running the floor to go along with his shooting and passing. I think the FO wants to see how Bibby does when he returns. If Bibby returns and plays at a high level, the Kings are a playoff team. Our wing rotation is the best in the league IMO (Kmart/Artest/Salmons/Garcia),we have a nice PG combo in Bibby and Beno, Miller and Moore are our only bigs but I think Theus is taking a small ball approach with Artest at PF. I personally want to see how a Bibby-Kmart-Salmons-Artest-Miller lineup does again some of the elite teams.

That's all well and good, and a good analysis. Thanks.
My point is, it's not "rebuilding on the fly", which is the tune I've been hearing from some Kings fans. It's not actually rebuilding in any way, shape or form.
