What will you give up for Mini-Nocioni?

Post#1 » by yunggunz » Fri Jan 4, 2008 12:43 am

....who of course is Linas Kleiza. Extremely underrated. Could be a very good player if given the opportunity to play more minutes. Best at the 3, but can also play the 2 and 4. Great free throw shooter, decent 3 point threat, plays all out all the time. Could realistically put up 15/6 right away on the right team. Thinking Toronto or Milwaukee would love him.

I don't see Milwaukee interested as they already have several players like him. He could work for Toronto, but I would expect they're happy with the way that Moon has played.

Milwaukee doesnt have anyone like him. He hard nosed as hell and loves banging, which separates him a lot from Charlie V. he can shoot, which separates him from D Mase. And he isnt complete trash, which separates him from Bobby Simmons.

And he would come right in and start in TO as well. I wouldnt say they are "happy" with Moon, as he is one of the worst starters at his position in the league.

Pleasantly surprised? sure. Happy? doubt it.

What to the Nuggets want?

I'd give Shannon Brown + 2nd round pick for Kleiza...

He has a small salary and the Nuggets don't have a lot of bad contracts so it'll be hard to find someone with a small salary worth getting him a trade...

On a bigger scale I'd probably do Sasha Pavlovic + Donyell Marshall + Larry Hughes + 2nd round pick for Linas Kleiza + J.R. Smith + Kenyon Martin.. Cavs get the better end of the deal, but just throwing something out there...

I like him for Toronto, but I'm not sure that he immediately becomes our starting SF...not sure how you call Moon 'one of the worst starters at his position in the league', as he was (last time I checked) a favourite of the Wages of Wins guys, as a player that has an impact on the game far outweighing his stats. One of the worst starting offensive SFs in the league? Absolutely. But he has acquitted himself extremely well this season, even though he has dipped somewhat from his early numbers.

If we want banging we'd just sign Ruben Patterson.

No. If you want to implode your team, youd just sign ruben patterson.

Its obvious and painstakingly easy to call him one of the worst starters in the NBa at the 3. Better SF's:

Pierce
Jefferson
Igoudala
Deng
Prince
Granger
Williams
Wallace
Lewis
Butler
Davis
Battier
Gay
Peja
Bowen
Webster
AK
Durant
Jackson
Durant
Hill
Artest
Maggete

So yes, he is competing with guys like Bobby Simmons and Qrich for bottom of the barrel.

I'd very much like Kleiza as a player off the bench in Washington. I like his shooting percentages and size, he'd probably be able to backup both forward positions in our offense -- and we could actually use a more reliable backup at SF.

Unfortunately, we are just limited in what we can offer, with injuries and unusual salary constraints.

god no. Id take both Najera and Kleiza over Rad. And Id take both over a 2nd round pick. And then considering contract situations, youd have to toss in jordan farmar or turiaf to get denver to even think about it (even then, they wouldnt do it because of Rad's contract).

The Bucks had him on our draft board. We were real high on him.

We absolutely do not have anyone like him on our roster. I'd love to get him but didn't really view the Bucks and Nuggets as good trading partners on this one.

I don't think he would start right away, but I could see him playing big time minutes for us. We need a tough nose defender like him. He can also shoot really well. Solid player.

Not sure what you would want for him...perhaps Charlie Bell. IDK?

What is Denver looking for?
