Also houston adds a 1st round pick lottery protected next year and memphis adds a second round pick next year.
Why for Houston. Houston gets help in the two biggest needs in the year so far a third scorer in miller and add shooting in brian cardinal who can play and shoot three and became their best 3 point threat at the four positon and damon adds creatitive at the point guard position and damon takes head's minutes who has lost me confidence in the new system. houston can play damon and alston together in guard positon until tmac comes back. Also they get to keep the tmac and yao tandom together with this trade set themselves better if tmac misses more time this year and they don't waste the year. houston is in the championship mode the last few yrs trading gay for batteir and they continue the way with this trade.

Why for Memphis. francis and synder deal expires this year and save them about 5.5 million wih francis and synder expires. for taking on james contract they trade damon and brian cardinal contract saving them buyout on damon and gets a first round pick. And battier is professional player who plays good defense. With the 2 first round picks they can have 1 in the top ten and 1 in the top twenty.

what you guys think?

I'd definitely do it from a Houston perspective, Miller would be perfect for this team with his shooting ability and underrated all-around game.

Why does Memphis want t-mac?

Battier is loved in Memphis I'm sure he would be welcomed there(even though he'd be pissed at trading teams I would think).

From Houston I would probably do it.
