MEM starts over with Miller, Gay and Conley to lead the way. The bevy of youngsters they receive in this trade would fight it out in practice for rotation spots, and the outsiders would be expiring contracts, at worst.

Interesting deal, I think Memphis probably hangs up on you though, not enough talent coming back. Wright isnt ever more than a bench player, Kristic just isnt the same player he was a year ago and Head is again a bench player at best.

If New Jersey gives up Sean Williams it might make things a bit closer ;p

My main problem with sending Sean Williams instead of Nenad Krstic for Pau is that Pau and Krstic are too similar to work together effectively. And giving both is too rich for Pau.

I think Memphis will insist on getting Sean Williams into the package. That's the minimum for them. Without Sean, it's no-go.

That's fine. It just makes it unrealistic for NJ. We just don't need both Gasol and Nenad.

^ you can just put Boone into the starting lineup and let Nenad backup Gasol. Wouldn't it work just fine then?

No. Nenad is a starting frontcourt player in this league, easily. He's looking for an extension in the offseason to reflect that, so we're not going to make him a long-term backup. Ask SEA fans how they feel about Robert Swift, and whether or not they'd be willing to pay for Okur. It's a similar scenario, except Nenad has actually proven much more.
