Just throwing this idea out there. I don't know of any other teams interested in taking on Zach Randolph...and I don't even know if the Bulls would be.

Kings deal:
Ron Artest
Kenny Thomas

Kings receive:
Joakim Noah
Joe Smith
Ben Gordon

Bulls trade:
Joakim Noah
Joe Smith
Ben Gordon

Bulls receive:
Zach Randolph
Mardy Collins

Knicks deal:
Zach Randolph
Mardy Collins

Knicks receive:
Ron Artest
Kenny Thomas

Kings get too much, but everyone knew that before they opened the thread.

A few months ago Randolph was traded for a bad contract and a marginal young prospect. His value hasn't sky rocketed to Ben Gordon and Joakim Noah.

Kings arent getting Gordon/Noah for Ron and get to dump Kenny for expiring. Get real dude.

Bulls won't even trade Ben Wallace for Zach. So Bulls say no

I would much rather do something else. I dont see why we would take Gordon. We need a big man...I personally dont think we'll get that in Noah.

The first is take Gordon out of the deal and add scrubs from Chicago to the Kings (Khryapa, Griffin...).

How the heck do the Kings get Noah, Gordon & Smith for Artest & Kenny??? C'mon man...at least make an effort to present a balanced trade for once.

there's just no way the Bulls will give up Noah and Gordon for Zach. If the Knicks buy him out and he's available at vet min, then maybe. He's just way too risky to take on, even for merely expiring contracts

Its official, Smills can NEVER call out another poster for blatant homerism, EVER again.

We got dirt on him.

NY would cut SAC out faster than a New York Minute, who cares if the pieces dont fit, if Ben Gordon and Noah are offered, you better believe NY will take them.

LOL.

So far this season, I could make a pretty good argument that Deng, Gordon, Noah and Joe Smith are the team's best players. Noah actually leads the team and all rookies for PER. He just doesn't get on the court because the $60M man gets his entitlement minutes.

No way that the Bulls trade 3 of their best guys for the wrecking ball that is Zach Randolph. Sorry, Smills, but this is pretty bad.

"Pretty bad" does this trade too much justice. "Amazingly horribly awful" is much closer to the reality of it.

yeah, just confirming the thought...nobody in their right mind wants Randolph. As for Artest/Kenny....I don't think Gordon has the value he once did. Smith is filler and Noah is the reason for the deal. If you look at between the Bulls and Kings it's not that far off.

I think you are just looking at this from a Sacramento perspective.

- Smith, right now, is not just filler to Chicago. He is actually and sadly our best big man.
- Gordon, right now, has very little trade value due to his contract and size. However, he is the teams only real scorer.
- Artest would just join the log jam at SF.

Essentially both players from Chicago have far more value to Chicago than Sacramento. The player received by Chicago has less value to the Bulls than Sacramento.

So, while it may be fair for Sacramento (since they don't need Smith or Gordon), its a huge hose job for Chicago (who doesn't need Artest, but needs Gordon, Smith and Noah in the long term)

Exactly, if I thought that Randolph could somehow net the Knicks Noah and Gordon I would totally forget Ron Artest. Even though I don't like Gordon or Noah and think they wouldn't help the Knicks in any way shape or form we could certainly use them as trade chips to get guys who could actually help.

Right... cause you've got plenty of perimeter shooting and interior defense already....?

This is pretty bad for Chicago... But wasnt there a rumor between Chi/Sac/Lal something like Gordon goes to Sacto, Chi gets Kobe and Lal gets Artest and Wallace?

No but we have plenty of undersized shooting guards who need the ball to be effective. I really don't care for Noah much at all and I was happy the bulls wasted our pick on him.
