I'd rather cut Cleveland out and do this deal in combination with semi-sentient's trade (Haslem and J-Will for Odom and Farmar):
Miami trades:
Udonis Haslem
Jason Williams
Mark Blount
Shaquille O'Neal
Ricky Davis
Smush Parker
Miami receives:
Jordan Farmar
Lamar Odom
Eddy Curry
Jamal Crawford
Quentin Richardson
David Lee
Stephon Marbury
Wilson Chandler
PG: Marbury / Farmar
Sg: Wade / Crawford
Sf: Odom / Richardson
Pf: Lee / Chandler
Cc: Curry / Barron
Personally, with the exception of frontcourt depth, I like that depth chart for the Heat. I think Riley could use the challenge of mentoring another young center, and Wade and Odom work very well together.
LA trades:
Lamar Odom
Jordan Farmar
LA receives:
Udonis Haslem
Jason Williams
Pg: Fisher / Williams / Crittenton
Sg: Bryant / Vujacic / Karl
Sf: Ariza / Walton
Pf: Haslem / Radmanovic / Turiaf
Cc: Bynum / Brown / Mihm
New York trades:
Stephon Marbury
Jamal Crawford
Eddie Curry
David Lee
Quentin Richardson
Wilson Chandler
New York receives:
Smush Parker
Ricky Davis
Mark Blount
Shaquille O'Neal
PG - Mardy Collins - Nate Robinson
SG - Ricky Davis - Fred Jones
C - Shaquille O'Neal - Mark Blount - Randolph Morris
PF - Zach Randolph - Malik Rose
SF - Jared Jeffries - Renaldo Balkman
Why for New York: I guess to get Shaq, who is still a PR guy's dream come true. Other than that, I generally have no idea, but it's the same trade initially proposed, minus Eric Snow and Damon Jones (who I can't imagine would be deal breakers). If they're peculiar enough to be willing to do the initial trade, I want Cleveland out and LA in...

I don't know how good his defense is, to be honest with you, but it's hard to imagine that it's any worse than Odom's, so I see little to no loss in this trade.
What I think this does for us is gives us two expiring contracts that another team might love (Indiana? Phoenix? NJ?), and that should be enough to land us a very solid All-Star type player, whether it be that missing SF, PF, or PG that we've been looking for. Maybe I'm just crazy, but $18 million worth of expiring contracts is mighty attractive for someone looking to chop salary in a hurry. It doesn't do much to get us under the cap because Kobe's contract has us screwed for quite some time, so our best bet at getting that missing piece is through tradable assets, which we'll finally have. I'm willing to bet that both Indiana and NJ would be more than willing to talk with that amount of money involved.
