MIA-MEM trade

Post#1 » by SnoBrdrRob » Fri Jan 4, 2008 10:59 pm

Miami trades:
Mark Blount
Smush Parker

Memphis trades:
Damon Stoudamire
Brian Cardinal

MIAMI:
PG: Stoudamire/Williams
SG: Wade/Jackson/Cook
SF: Wright/Davis
PF: Haslem/Cardinal
C: Shaq/Barron

MEMPHIS:
PG: Lowry/Conley/Parker
SG: Navarro/Miller
SF: Gay/Warrick
PF: Gasol/Swift
C: Milicic/Blount

Miami obtains a PG while keeping Williams for potential future deal to acquire other assets. They rid themselves of Blount and Parker. They acquire Cardinal to backup the 3/4 who can shoot the occasional long ball. He will be a better value for them than Blount has been.

Memphis gets rid of a distractive and unhappy Stoudamire and allowing Lowry and Conley to get more PT. They acquire a backup big in exchange for the little used/needed Cardinal. Parker would be a wash.

For Miami, I'd do it.

I think I'd do it, just cause Blount's contract is larger than Cardinals.
