i see 2 possibilities for dealing shaq; NY or Chi

Dallas is possible, but I don't see the assets or contracts
so;
NY sends stephon, curry and rose for shaq, jwill and blount

Isiah's one last try to shake things, plus they lose stephon

Miami clears some salary room, gets a young 5 to build around and takes a chance that stephon can bounce back

TO bulls-simple shaq for Wallace and bulls' #1 (no protection)
Bulls get a few things-a bounce with shaq, a low post threat, especially for the playoffs and shaq will lose games and minutes in the regular season, time to develop their young bigs

miami gets a center to play D, who will play everyday, who is paid less ($5million savings is a lot) and a pick that could fall almost anywhere

The NY trade has been discussed, in various incarnations, throughout. It is one I would do, as I too believe Riley would do wonders for Curry, and and Curry and Wade duo could be a very strong dup to build with.

As for the Bulls, I don't see an unprotected pick being given for Shaq, which means (to me, anyways) Gordon would be a likely inclusion. I would be far less likely to take this deal, though I love Gordon.

that's the thing for the bulls. They don't need any more lottery picks. They need to mix it up-gordon stays, the pick is it (we will be in the playoffs)

Which is why we don't do it. I can't see Ben Wallace and a mid round pick being enough compensation for Shaq...

I really don't care for Curry... at ALL. I really don't like any deals where Shaq gets sent to NY.

Two NJ deal ideas, MIA fans. See what you think:

O'neal, Davis, Parker, Johnson and Anthony for Hilario, Najera, Hunter, Atkins, Smith, Kleiza and a future 1st (Trade ID #4387917)

Nene and Wade make more sense together than Curry, and the Heat also receive some quality youth.

Camby would become the PF/C, and Davis would be a quality starting SG.




O'Neal, Davis and Parker for Jefferson, Collins, Magloire and Wright (Trade ID #4387963)

The Nets would return a hometown hero in his declining years, but the attention he still commands could help relieve pressure on VC and Kidd. Moving RJ hurts, but returning Davis softens the blow.

Wade and Jefferson could be an exciting duo for years to come, especially if the Heat can draft an elite PG in '08.

Good trades. I think I'd do them both.

My bulls deal for wallace seems the best-Miami rolls the dice on the pick (unprotected), saves some $ and gets a center who can play every nite.

Your Bulls deal is horrible. If we're dealing Shaq, it's to rebuild. We can't do that with Ben Wallace.

If Miami wants to rebuild, they better let Shaq's contract expires to have some cap space as what they did in 2003 when they let Zo's contract runs out and signed free agents.

False. The Nets are in position for the 6th seed in the East right now, and are on 4-game win streak. More importantly, Marcus Williams and Nenad Krstic are finally turning the corners in their respective rehabs. Nets GM Rod Thorn has publicly expressed that he has fielded several offers from other teams, but that he has not desire to make any moves until he evaluates the team at full strength.

I'm not saying the Nets are a c'hip favorite by any means; let's face it, unless Shaq agrees to a buyout, there's no way he's going to any of the top-tier teams. This Nets deal definitely increases O'neal's chances of competing this year. Also, Kidd could be just what the BigAristotle needs to boot his confidence. They're both coming off of bitter divorces in the offseason, and these two future HoFers could help each get the best out of the other. And I don't think he'd mind spending the twilight of his career in his home state.

it's easier to trade a 5 million dollar contract than a $20 million dollar one. This would break shaq's deal down into smaller pieces, making it easier to trade and easier to rebuild.

Miami could then do a: Williams and Radmanovic for Marbury and/or a Walton and Davis for Nocioni type deals...........

Then do it, and don't send us crappy 6 year contracts that average 5 million per year. And Nocioni's deal is just as long. Send us expirings then if it's so easy!

But it's not, so that's not happening.

use some common sense. i can't think up everything.........how many teams can trade for a 20 million dollar deal? now how many can trade for a 6 million dollar deal........be creative, think ahead.
