did I solve Gasol to bulls?

I'm really tired, so maybe this sucks, but I like it
Gasol to bulls, along with MRose from NY
NY gets BWallace and SSWift
Memphis gets Curry, Thabo, AGray and the bulls' #1 this year (no protection)
NY gets Defense in wallace and an athletic backup big in swift. They take on a little salary here, but not too much
Chicago, of course, gets their man
Memphis gets a young center (nice possible pairing with Darko), a 7th man in thabo, a back up center on the cheap in Gray, a possible lottery pick, HUGE financial relief-and a chance at a brighter long term future
Conley, lowry, MMiller, Gay, Warrick, Darko, Curry, Gray is A LOT to build around, plus they lose swift's deal, gasol makes a ton at the end of his and they get a top 5 pick (their own) and the bulls pick

I like it for the Knicks, but I can't speak for other Knicks fans.
How do Bulls fans feel about the deal?

Ben Wallace, Thabo, Gray and a #1 for Gasol and Malik Rose?
Personally I'd do it in a heartbeat. Rose only has a year left, Ben Wallace is... well Ben Wallace and Thabo is nearly at good at basketball as my 88 year old grandmother.

I just don't think Isiah will be allowed for 40 million dollar Wallace, and a 21 million dollar Swift. I think Dolan's done adding salary. But otherwise, this is a plausible trade.

If Gasol is having trouble in Coach I's run-and-gun system, why would Curry do any better than Gasol?

Ben and Stro both have shorter deals than Eddy, so they're not "adding salary". They're subtracting it.
It might be too sweet for NYK, but if MEM clears it, I see this as a done deal.

Memphis declines. Great idea if it had been posted 2 weeks ago, but since Michael Conley returned, Memphis looks like a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TEAM.

i share the, how the hell does eddy curry fit in with memphis concern..maybe add a fourth team sending curry elsewhere while keeping the chi 1st in play and something that can be had for curry..
maybe jason richardson or antawn jamison or another lower second tier star..
as a griz fan darko is having trouble keeping up so curry would def drag us down

He wouldn't. Given that Eddy's One Dimension has been below par...he looks pretty expensive. Yeah...a pick is cool but Thabo is of minor value, and while I like Gray.....Curry-Gray -Darko in a RUNNING game?
While I don't think NY wants to get older, more high $...I don't see the Griz seeing this as a big lift either. Chi..obviously drops a contract-gets a star, they get stuck with Rose and lose a pick..but,come on....fact is they have to replace Gray-Thabo with Thomas to get the Griz to accept

Hell, I'd throw in Nocioni to get this done.

They're adding salary, in less time. 60+ million vs. 40 and getting rid of Malik. The luxury tax is a harsh mistress, and they could get expirings for Eddy easily.

What exactly are the Bulls giving up here? According to the OP, it does seem that what you're proposing is the Bulls dump another problem onto the Knicks in order to get a player they want. Chances are the Bulls with Gasol will end up with a pick between 16 and 20. Eddy does suck, but at least he can score. Wallace does nothing. Has Wallace even had one good game while in Chicago? Basically all your giving up is a mid to late first round pick for Gasol while ridding yourself of a HUGE mistake.
Isiah is probably the worst gm in the history of the NBA, but even he can't be that stupid to take on Ben. If they want defense, the Knicks might as well ship off Lee and whatever other garbage they have for Artest.

Which is to be expected as Conley is a terrific young player. It's about time that they were able to get their best players healthy and on the floor at the same time.

I think you solved it. Pass it on to those GMs.
