What could the Lakers get for Kwame Brown at the trade deadline?

Add either J Crittenton or swap your 1st pick for our 2nd pick and you can probably get K Thomas. We'd probably throw in D Wilkins if that was required.

What!? That says something how you over value your players.

LA is not stupid to do that trade.

Kwame? You can probably pick your favorite bad contract. Half a season or 10 years...he's not good-he's not cheap. Somebody wants hiom-why? Because they want the guy they have even less.

If Kwame is combine with Bynum...he's useful CAP FILL,allowing LAL to deal for a guy in the $10 mill zone. Alone? Worth less than Kurt Thomas---and the Suns packaged him with a pick.

Just throwing it out there, though I know it will get bashed.

Erick Dampier as part of a 3 way with Kwame ending up in Miami and Shaq ending up in Dallas.

Dampier is better than Kwame, but I don't know if LA wants to add Dampier's final 2 years to to their payroll for a slight upgrade.

Butler is worth much, much more than Kwame.

old rem wins....by TKO.

All Kwame is an expiring contract that plays very solid Big Man defense, is a decent rebounder with a somewhat average offensive game.....at best...a decent to solid roleplayer on a team that is considered overpaid.

I am guessing that he will be moved before the trade deadline cuz teams need to clear salary....but as old rem said.....if he's moved by himself or with anyone not named Odom or Bynum, the Lakers shouldn't expect to get a player that will make a huge difference.

But realistically...given the way that the Lakers have played so far.....I don't think that they need anything more then some solid depth to keep them in the Playoff hunt.

If you want Troy Murphy for Kwame, he's yours (and Troy is even playing decent to good bball the last 10 games).

Howbout Kwame for Dampier. I'd do that.

Dampier's defense is actually not half bad.

Kwame's biggest value is as an expiring, and he will get you a reasonablly-priced, little used vet. You might get a little more from a team that has more use for an expiring, such as a team over the lux or a team that's rebuilding. A rebuilding team might be best, because they have a relatively cheaper view of their own production.

Run him past MIN, maybe SEA, or perhaps teams that who may be making the decision now to rebuild, like PHI, MIA, or perhaps MIL.

I understand Kwame can still play a little defense, but his biggest selling point right now is his $9 mil expiring contracts.

heck no. dampier is too expensive

lakers' best bet is to let kwame expire, resign him for fair value (under mle) and have themselves a very good defensive center backing up bynum. lakers aren't going to take on some horrible contract so kwame isn't going to bring back much anyways.
