I dont see Garcia as enough of an upgrade to justify taking on k9.

Garcia is a big upgrade over Bogans or Redick IMO. He'll give them scoring and defense at SG and another 3 point specialist to go with Hedo and Lewis. If Nelson can step it up a bit and play consistent I think this trade puts the Magic right there with the Celtics and Pistons. They do take on K9 but I'd bet he gets a decent amount of PT on the Magic as he can give them rebounding and toughness off the bench.

Oh come on. Francisco Garcia will NEVER be the difference between any particular team and the pistons or celtics.

Did I say that? I said this trade WITH Nelson stepping it up puts the Magic as a team right there with the Pistons and Celtics.

Not a bad deal for the Magic. I like Garcia, and he would be an upgrade over Bogans, although I don't know how good his defense is...

Kenny Thomas' deal is very unpleasant, but as long as his rebounding is still good as it was with the Sixers, and can hit open jumpers, we'll take him.

I still think Philly is Orlando's best trading partner, though. Getting a guy like Andre Miller and/or Reggie Evans really helps us.

You don't watch Garcia. The guy is goooood. K-9 would actually get some solid burn in Orlando and probably be an asset for them.

I agree. Its not worth giving those package for Garcia if you're taking KT.

Thomas will rebound for you but he will not hit open jumpers like he used to.

How is k9 going to get burn in Orlando when he cant get burn in Sacto? I cant see him getting more than 10-15 a game.

Because the Magic have exactly TWO big men that see meaningful minutes and then play hobbit ball the rest of the time.

Well, the Kings have Mikki Moore, Brad Miller and who? LMAO. If anything, the Kings front court is weaker than the Magic.

That would suck to use Garcia as a means to dump Kenny. Just send him off with Artest!

You can, if you get off this idea that Artest and Kenny's contract is worth David Lee type prospects + pick(s).

Why are Kings fans fo focused on moving Artest? We're not getting a player better than him in return. We should keep Artest long term to go with Kmart and Hawes.

Justin Williams beat out K9 for his spot in the rotation and we also go small with Artest at the 4.
