CHI/CHAR

Post#1 » by DanTown8587 » Mon Jan 7, 2008 8:53 am

I have no idea what the mood is like in Charlotte, but i wonder how much they like Okafor. He really doesn't score for them and they seem to always get killed on the glass. Is it to hard to see

Chi gets: Emeka Okafor

CHAR gets: Joakim Noah or Tyrus Thomas, Viktor Khryapa, #1 08

You're really asking for too much loyalty here. Michael is no longer willing to do anything to bring a championship to Chicago.

Bobcats wouldn't do that.

But would they do Okafor, Richardson, and Harrington for Deng, Noah, and Wallace?

No they wouldn't.

Deng plays the same position as one of our best (Crash) who compliments JRich wonderfully. Wallace's contract is dirty. Noah is a tool (but is proving effective in the NBA).

Regardless if the cats would do it, that would leave Chicago with 3 players looking for a big payout this summer. Gordon, Deng and Emeka are all RFA's.

With Chicago's financial planning, no way they do this.

Yeah, you could just pay the two you feel help the team most, so likely Deng and Okafor.

So then the trade off would become (using the last example) Gordon + Tyrus + Noah for Emeka? That's a little steep.

Its pretty simple with Chicago. If they take on a big money player, they have to ship out one of Nocioni, Hinrich, Wallace, Gordon or Deng.

True. And with the underwhelming campaigns each of these 5 players has had this year, along with the unreasonable extensions Deng and Gordon are seeking this summer, I'm sure you understand just what kind of "big money player" you should expect in return for your Bulls core.

I think Chicago really needs to make a move before the off season. Thats being said Charlotte is a terrible team to make a move with. Charlotte has a nice young team and they have built themselves perfectly for the future.

Chicago really needs to try and get a glue player that could bring everyone on that team together, someone with strong leadership skills that can bring along that team. Just my opinion though.
