LAL/ATL/CLE/MIA

Post#1 » by SportsFan215 » Tue Jan 8, 2008 1:12 am

Lakers Get: J. Johnson/Gooden
Lakers Give: Odom/Kwame/'08 First (Top 5 Protected)

Hawks Get: J. Williams/R. Davis/'08 First from Lakers (Top 5 Protected)
Hawks Give: J. Johnson/S. Stoudamire

Heat Gets: Odom/Damon Jones
Heat Gives: J. Williams/R. Davis/'09 First (Top 5 Protected)

Cavs Get: Kwame/S. Stoudamire/'09 First from Cavs (Top 5 Protected)
Cavs Give: Gooden/Damon Jones

Lakers get JJ to be Kobe's Pippen and Gooden is the perfect PF for the triangle offense.

Hawks get two productive expiring contracts, so they will be able to sign the Joshes and possibly resign Ricky Davis. Davis fills JJ's position at SG, and JWill is the true PG they need until AC Law is more ready next year. They also get the Lakers first round pick this year to sweeten the deal.

Heat get Lamar Odom who will help with his versatility, especially with Shaq and D-Wade's injuries, and might keep them in the playoff race. Damon Jones says he wants to go back to Miami, and this gives him his wish to replace JWill at PG.

The Cavs need help for interior defense and outside shooting. Kwame helps their interior defense and Salim Stoudamire gives them another outside sharp shooter besides Boobie. Also, both of those players have expiring contracts. An '09 first from the Heat sweetens the deal.

Thoughts?

Miami cannot trade a pick next year unless they've first satisfied their deal with Minnesota. Also, Lamar Odom is not worth expiring deals and the 6th pick in the draft. Heat pass...

Wait so Odom plus 1st round pick = Joe Johnson!?!?!

Wait, AND Drew Gooden?

If this trade didn't work the first 3 times, guess what, it wont work the 4th time.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say your a Lakers fan!?

I know the Hawks have lost some games in a row... but they aren't giving up (yet). They can still resign the Joshes w/o giving up JJ. The only reason they trade JJ in a deal like this is if he wants to leave.

You mean a 1st from the Heat?

Regardless, the Cavs decline. We're not giving up our starting PF for this.

^You think your side is bad................

Why would the Hawks give up JJ for Ricky, J. Will, and a 25-30 1st rounder? That sucks. Dude posted this is not a Hawks fan, but prob a Lakers fan since he has the best player in this trade going there.

Several times in a row...

Joe Johnson is still a star player. Odom and a late pick isn't going to cut it. You even give the Lakers a Kwame/Gooden swap on top?

Lakers need to give quite a bit more to get Joe Johnson, if it's possible at all.
