Denver gets their point guard and fix up the log jam at the PF spot. Kenyon Martin will soon be capable of 30+ minutes a game. JR Smith is pretty much useless in Denver, with his feud with Karl.

I think this team is better than what they have right now. Hinrich brings in much needed defense at the guard spot and they improve both offensively and defensively.

Instead of trading for Gasol or someone expensive, Chicago adds Nene who could be a good compliment to Ben Wallace. Nene could be the post scorer they've been looking for. He is capable of scoring 15 points and 10 boards with more playing time. I think Duhon is running the point now in Chicago, and Gordon could be put back into the starting rotation. JR Smith could also finally get more minutes and put his talent to work. He could back up the 1 and 2 spots.

I think both teams get what they want; Denver gets a defensive point guard who can spread the floor, while Chicago gets a post scoring threat who can rebound and play defense for much cheaper than for a big name like Gasol.

Thoughts?

Throw in an "N" going to Dever and I don't see how they can pass this one up.

Because Nenes not injured all the time anyways....

If Nene could stay healthy and play consistently he would have a lot more value than Hinrich. But he can't and he has a humongous contract, I don't see Chicago trading Kirk for him.

First, this trade doesn't work since Hinrich is BYC. We'd have to add a lot more salary to the trade to even that out, and thus Denver would as well. Cliff Levingston played around in the checker a little ,adding Smith from our side and Najera/Hunter from Denver's but nothing worked (in the 2 minutes spent trying at least).

Second, Chicago has an even worse log jam in the front court and Nene only complicates that. We'd have to send one (preferably two) of our big men out or basically completely kill the development of Thomas/Noah/Gray.

Third; we traded J.R. Smith for what amounted to Aaron Gray and JamesOn Curry (two mid second round picks). Cliff Levingston doesn't think Paxson would be eager to take him back; at least not with the intent of having him play a major role on the team. Losing Hinrich and getting only J.R. back at the guard spot would require J.R. to play at least 25 minutes.

The Bulls more than anything (right now) need a guard who can get into the lane with some consistency and finish at the rim (or get to the foul line at a good rate). Cliff Levingston would be more than willing to include Hinrich in such a trade, but that's not what we're getting back here.

On a more general note: Hinrich (playing the 2) would be an outstanding complement to Iverson.

Nene has alot of money left on his contract. I think it's 43 million plus compared to about 36 left on Hinrich. Nah, i'd have to reject any deal where Nene and Hinrich are the main principles. I would like to see Kirk go to MIA for their lottery pick... OJ Mayo please.

I think Hinrich would do well in Denver. He can hit open shots, play defense and move the ball without demanding the ball.

That being said, what is coming back to Chicago would not work for the reasons Cliff said.

Chicago's needs are:
- A big guard
- Someone to take Wallace off their hands
- An elite player at any position

kirk would be good in denver
but i don't see this trade working
