Houston receives: Zach Randolph and Fred Jones.
New York receives: Mike James, Luis Scola and Bonzi Wells.

Successful Trade Scenario
Congratulations on a successful trade.

Due to Houston and New York being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Houston and New York had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining.

Trade ID #4402321

Why for Houston?

I don't know, gives them a 3rd option finally? Mac and Yao can't do it all on their own. Maybe Randolph defers and actually tries to play his role as the third banana behind the two superior players? Not like the Rockets are giving up anything much here, could be worth a shot.

Why for New York?

Who cares? It's the Knicks. Look at this puppy laughing now. Image

Z-Bo to Houston is exactly that - Option Z

We'll roll with what we have.

I believe one of the main reasons for the McGrady rumors is that the Rockets are trying to shed some salarys and also build the team around Yao. Randolph wouldn't help from the salary standpoint. And as far as Yao goes, obviously Yao is much more productive than Curry, but I would doubt that that paring Randolph with Yao will help Yao anymore than it did Curry. Just on a random note, the perfect compliment to Yao in terms of building going forward is probably Al Horford. Now if that were only possible. Maybe deal McGrady to get the assets that may convince the Hawks to send Horford to Houston?
