If Philly feels Iguodala isn't worth the bother they get a nice return here. Thomas still has a lot of upside. Frye has looked great recently as has Jack. They also get a mid to high level first and clear out tons of cash in Evans and Green and by not having to re-sign Iguodala.

I'm one of many Blazers fans who feel that Gordon would be the perfect compliment to Brandon Roy. Losing Frye hurts a lot so the Blazers would have to hope Outlaw and McRoberts can handle back-up PF the rest of the season.

Iguodala isn't going anywhere.

Portland have to do much better than this to hijack Ben Gordon from Philly

Chicago isn't going to trade Gordon + Tyrus + a pick for Iguodola. Just like Gordon, Iggy's contract status is a big concern. He turned down (reportedly) a lot of money. Who knows what will happen with him? At least with Gordon, there is a small chance someone offers him a lot of money. Iguodola is much more likely to create some free agency interest, which could drive his contract into absurdity.

I would love to see Iguodola on Chicago, but not at this price and not at this time.

What, are the Bulls trying to corner the market on undersized forwards paid to much to rebound? I think all three teams pass. I don't think Portland fans have seen enough Ben Gordon to know he does three things: Shoots, dribble under the basket and create nothing, and dribble out the shot clock.

Cliff Levingston's thoughts exactly. Philly would probably opt to cut Portland out and take Gordon for themselves.

In which case, is too high a price to pay for Igoudala from the Bulls' side. Igoudala is good, but he's not THAT good.

anyone else think Iggy is the next Vince Carter: Played at a hoops factory, wasn't the most regarded prospect on his college team, best player in the pros though, athletic and can get to the hoop at any time, makes you wonder why he pulls up for jump shots so much, overvalued sense of ability, will eventually drive himself out of Philly with lack of hustle, could be a great defender but doesn't choose to be.

I don't think I have ever seen Gordon do 2 or 3. I am guessing you are talking about Hinrich there as your description matches what many of his detractors accuse him of.

Coldfish, you watch Bulls games regularly because that is exactly why Ben Gordon if he wants can leave. He over dribbles and then drives to the paint and since he is so small, no one has to re act to him and they easily block his shot. Last year right before the playoffs in a game @ home against Cleveland, this is all Gordon did the final possessions and they lost a pivotal game.

yikes, Portland gets way to much, Jack and Frye dont have nearly that kind of value.

I like the idea, however I have sadly come to the realisation that Portland's best chance at getting Gordon is through 2009 FA. I dont think Pritchard is very likely to want to part with the core at this time and with all that cap space in 2009, Gordon looks like one of the best young free agents available. In order to get Gordon I think Chicago would demand probably a deal starting with Webster or Outlaw which would mess with team chemistry this year.

I do believe he would be a great fit with Roy in the backcourt, but if Portland can get him through Free Agency without giving up anyone, that would be the best case scenario in getting him.

I bet I have only missed a few games of Gordon's career. League Pass + Tivo rules. Sorry, I really don't see that. Gordon isn't a great finisher. However, he only really dribbles a lot when he gets doubled on the perimeter.

A lot of that is Ben Wallace and the coaching staff's fault. Why you have Ben Wallace go out 23 feet from the hoop is beyond me. His man is free to leave him and double the ball.
