Wow -- for MIN? No. Lottery picks Corey Brewer and McCants for .. I can't remember and I'm unwilling to scroll up.

So wait....how does PHX manage to land Maggette and Dickau without giving anything up? At the very least, they should have to give up the ATL pick.

And that's kinda massive suckitude for Minny.

ooops. left it out.......fixed. PHX is sending Kurt Thomas TE and ATL pick to MN. GS sends the Jason Richardson TE and LA returns MN's #1.

brewer should be taken out of this for minnesota. perhaps you should look at more than his statline before throwing him in.

GSW will NOT trade Azubuike for this...will not toss in the others...will not use the TPE to increase payroll....(at least not in this context.) Azubuike will be a regular here for a long time....he's barely had a full year in the NBA -yet has quite a few 20+ games and scored 30 once this season. Barnes + Pietrus were in the rotation even when the rotation shrunk to 7-8 players. With Mbenga gone-POB is the backup C.

And....what's the T Wolves impulse to turn ROOKIE CONTRACTS into expirings or vacancies? They are not unloading Jaric or anything they might WANT to get rid of....are "cleaning house" of all their picks of recent years and the young guys from the KG deal. All so the Clips can get about 5 good players for Maggette/Ross

Golden State says no. What do they get out of this trade? A backup point guard? This trade is useless for us and accomplishes absolutely nothing.

an aging backup point guard. and we lose some key players, a and part of the TE just for some expirings; not to mention all the players we give up are better than the ones we receive, and we're giving up more players too.

The Warriors are no longer in a rebuilding mode. They are in the playoff hunt and trying to get better. This trade is junk and does absolutely nothing for them. Why take on expirings and give up our TPE? Makes no sense whatsoever if you're Golden State.

I like getting Cassell to backup Baron, but giving up our 6th, 7th, and 8th guy? So we basically have Cassell to backup all 5 positions?? Ross is ok, I'd rather not play him.

I've edited it a bit.....good for everyone?

I wouldn't call that an edit. I'd call that an entirely new trade.

I don't think anyone would give a first round pick and a TE for a 38 year old Sam I Am.

Still a no for GS. Cassell isn't worth the TPE and a 1st.

With Davis and Ellis (and with Cassell's age) Sam's just a 10 mpg reserve for GS. Paying ~$4M for a half-year rental of a 10 mpg reserve might be reasonable, paying ~$4M and an 1st is way too much.
