Successful Trade Scenario
Congratulations on a successful trade.
Due to New York and New Jersey being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. New York and New Jersey had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Nets:
C: Boone/Kristic
PF: Randolph/Williams
SF: Jefferson/Wright
SG: Carter/Armstrong
PG: Kidd/Williams
*** Nets bolster their front court here with Randolph. Surrounded by Kidd and VC, Randolph will be better and more useful... Kidd will keep his *** in check.

Knicks:
C: Garbage
PF: Garbage
SF: Garbage
SG: Garbage
PG: Garbage
*** Knicks dump Randolphs huge contract for 1 year of Collins, 2 expirings and a future 1st... I tried to fit James or Rose in the deal too for Wright but wouldnt work in the trade checker.

I actually like this a lot for the Knicks they need to get a few more trades like this and they will be in much better situation. It's addition by subrtraction if they could get rid of Marbury this same way they would be doing really well. I could see them do this trade then a follow up trade for a good defensive PF they probably have to send out Lee and a Pick and Possibly another guy to do it but if they could they might have something.

Fair enough deal in my eyes as long as the pick is very, very heavily protected. Or unprotect the pick and add atoine wright.

I think Kidd and co. could put Randolph in line.

Zach Randolph + Vince Carter + Richard Jefferson + Jason Kidd= One team with to many players that need the ball to control.

First, quit with the lazy cut & paste posting

Second, the Zach to Jersey thing is interesting, but I'm not sure what the actual deal could/should be.

There is no treasure in this deal.

The simplest deal would be

Randolph for M.Allen + Magloire + Collins

no picks needed.

Nets lineup would be:

S.Williams/Boone
Randolph/Kristic
Jefferson/Nachbar
Carter/Wright
Kidd/Armstrong/M.Williams

There really is no reason for the Knicks to help out the Nets this much.

Thank you.

We really need to get that rule across. Legibility is good.

That being said, the Knicks have 15 players on their roster, so a 3 for 1 doesn't really make sense, as 2 of these guys get cut (unless Jerome gets cut, then only 1).

This is basically a Zach dump. Personally I'd hold out for something of value in return, not just a salary benefit. Zach is still a talented player and he's worth more than 3 scrubs.
