Successful Trade Scenario
Congratulations on a successful trade.
Due to New York, Orlando, and New Jersey being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. New York, Orlando, and New Jersey had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Future Protected 1st to NYN

Magic:
C: Howard
PF: Lee/Cook
SF: Lewis/Jefferies
SG: Turkoglu/Bogans
PG: Marbury
*** Marbury can be a problem and has a lot of money left on his deal but he is an upgrade at PG and with this team could do well. Picking up David Lee is huge as well.

Nets:
C: Boone
PF: Randolph/Williams
SF: Jefferson
SG: Carter/Reddick
PG: Kidd/Williams
*** Nets make a huge splash here picking up their new PF and a shooter off the bench for a future 1st and expirings.

Knicks:
C: Curry
PF: Collins/Nachbar
SF: Balkman/QRich
SG: Crawford
PG: Nelson/Robinson
*** Knicks cut a TON of salary, pick up their new PG of the future and a future 1st... cutting the salary(Marbury/Randolph/Jefferies) is the big thing here.

not a good deal really for Orlando, they trade everyone of their PG's and get one in return?

does that even make sense to you?

wow, INSANITY....

EDIT: i hate the trade postings, they are so cluttered, so i misread...still...all PG's for Marbary? so the Magic have ONE "point guard"? I'd love Lee, but still...c'mon...thats crazy...

I wouldnt say David Lee and Marbury are "nothing"... Nelson is really the only piece of value the Magic are giving up here so they would just need to decide if they want to swap Nelson for Marbury+Lee...

As for the Nets how are they getting "that much"... due to Randolphs huge contract and recent antics with the Knicks his value is very low... but at the same time he'd be a good fit on the Nets who need that low post presence real bad and if they only have to give up a protected future 1st and expirings then its worth it for them

Three PG for One overrated, overpriced PG is not a good deal. Also, go look at Orlando's cap for next season after that deal and its terrible.
