Why for Orlando: The Magic fill their needs on the cheap. Tinsley is a solid PG who will fit nicely into SVG's system. Foster is the dirty work PF the Magic desperately need.

Why for Indy: Indy is going nowhere in a hurry with their current roster. They manage to get expiring contracts for 2 of their uglier contracts and finally start to rebuild around Granger, Dunleavy, and JO.

How about we combine this with the other trade seen here:
http://www.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?t=749406

Throw in Andre Owens to balance the rosters a bit and we get:

Orl sends: Arroyo, Dooling, Battie, Redick, Garrity
Orl gets: Tinsley, Murphy, Foster, Harrison, Owens

Ind sends: Tinsley, Murphy, Foster, Harrison, Owens
Ind gets: Arroyo, Dooling, Battie, Redick, Garrity

Better?

Of course it is. Indy has been trying to move Tinsley for years.

Not that low that we need to chip in Foster(one of our better contracts) to get some expirings.
I'm pretty sure Tinsley can catch expirings on his own. Not that I would do it for Arroyo, Dooling and Garrity.

We would even cut Foster out and just do Tinsley for expirings. Don't tell me the Pacers wouldn't jump at that.

Probably.

No way are we trading Foster though. No thanks.

I would still rather trade Murphy. Don't you guys still need another big?

"Orl sends: Arroyo, Dooling, Battie, Redick, Garrity

Ind sends: Tinsley, Murphy, Foster, Harrison, Owens

We wouldn't have any big man depth. JO would have to move to center, and even then we wouldn't have a back up. Take out Foster + Battie (it should still work in trade checker)

Daniels - Arroyo - Dooling
Dunleavy - Rush - Redick
Granger - Williams - Rush
JO - Williams - Garrity
Foster - JO

We could run alot of quick lineups (Daniels/Dunleavy/Granger/Williams/JO). This leaves us with only one bad contract (Dunleavy) and it could easily be argued that he is playing up to his contract ATM.
